She is a storied artist who left her acclaimed DJ career in Aotearoa New Zealand to deepen her craft in one of the world’s great electronic music capitals. A graduate of the Red Bull Music Academy, her sound draws from the lineage of jazz, soul, disco, and classic Chicago house, shaped by the precision of contemporary European club culture. On the dancefloor, her selections lean toward the jacking, groove-driven side of house, balancing musical depth with focused club energy.
Her presence in the Berlin scene is defined by regular appearances at the city’s most respected booths, including Panorama Bar, Heideglühen, and Sisyphos. Most recently, she has been a key selector for the Small Great Things residency at OXI, bringing her signature warmth to their multi-floor events. This floor-level experience translates directly into her production work, which has seen releases on key imprints such as Freerange Records, SlothBoogie, and Local Talk.
As part of the ONI:A lineup, Philippa brings "beats for a weary soul to rest on," exploring the rhythmic threads that connect house music's origins to its current forms. Simon Beeston is a Producer/DJ of Legendary Pedigree—one of the few from New Zealand to carve out a global career in electronic dance music, cementing his status in the world’s techno capital, Berlin.
His sound is a compelling study in dynamism: an irresistible groove at the intersection of House, Techno, and Electronica. Simon’s specialty is the bionic mix of Tech House, Deep House, and Techno, where subtle musical hooks meet crunchy, driving percussion. It is a style honed over years, granting him the innate ability to command any floor—seamlessly transitioning from peak-time fury to rolling, deep-tissue grooves.
His credit is undeniable, having released tracks and remixes across highly respected imprints including Thoughtless Music, Highgrade Records, Freizeitglauben, Supdub, and Microzoo. Crucially, his sets have taken him around the globe, from Asia to Australia. However, it is his work in Berlin that defines his legacy, having graced the decks of legendary venues such as Panorama Bar, Watergate, Bar25, KaterHolzig, and Arena Club.

Born in London and raised in NZ in a family of world-renowned producers and Juilliard honors students, Bandit was destined for a life in sound. Her path to ONI began in Wellington as the burgeoning warehouse rave scene was taking hold, introducing her to the foundational sounds of Detroit and London. By 1996, she happened upon a mismatched set of CD players, a mixer, and a fixation on the BoomBap, the weight of the low-end, and the snap of a snare. She soon progressed to turntables and honed a talent for precision vinyl mixing. This earned her a residency at the landmark club StudioNine in 1999 and launched a career that has spanned the globe, from Thailand and Mauritius to Zanzibar, Norway, and the Americas.
In 2012, Bandit relocated to Berlin and deeply embedded herself in the BRC and Burner communities. As a resident at Kiezburn’s Downtempo Saloon, her "Burn Night" sets became a destination for the event, eventually leading to a coveted set at BRC 2022 at Center Camp.
Returning to New Zealand in 2024, Bandit observed a gap in the modern dance floor. She saw a lack of space for the deep knowledge and influences of the 90s and 2000s. From this, One Night In (ONI) was born as a platform for DJs to shed the confines of prime-time expectations and explore the influential scenes that defined their craft.

Musical Investigations with Kava and Friends
DJ Kava is a Record Nerd and Music Investigator. An 80s kid with a solid nocturnal adventuring education, he naturally gravitates toward dark basements with heavy sound systems.
Kava plays defrag / healing / dancing music across the rhythmic and harmonic cultural spectrum. It’s a world where Disco, Soul, House, Brokenbeat, Hip Hop, Dub, Latin, and Afrobeat shake hips with MPCs and Drum Machines… where Jamaicans in New York meet West Africans with Synthesizers and funky Euro-freaks.
From his “wax detective” sessions at OYE Records and the global frequencies of his @refugeworldwide residency, Kava specializes in the slow-burn, building the rhythmic and harmonic foundations that allow the floor to truly wake up.
Whether it’s deep-tissue House, ancestral Afrobeat, or dubbed-out Soul, he ensures the floor is primed, the sound system is calibrated, and the energy is intentional.

The New Zealanders woven into the fabric of Berlin Klub Kulture.
Over the coming weeks we will be releasing our full artist lineup, so without further delay we are deeply honoured to have a favourite of the burner and wellington scene Kellective aka @_mandelbrot_set providing Visuals for the night
Kellective has been in Wellington’s #VJ scene since 2010, when she began building custom J software through creative coding. Breaking ground as the first V to secure a regular slot at @laundry_cuba_street Bar, and Ving + production work with “Emergence in Techno,” a night dedicated to bringing Berlin’s sound to Wellington and flying in European artists to play with the local scene.
A catalyst for collaboration, she co-founded Art Hack’s weekly jam sessions and contributed to a decade of theme camps at Kiwiburn Festival.
At the heart of her practice is live improvisation, conjuring colors and shapes that exist only in the moment, responsive to music and energy. She loves grassroots “let’s make a party in the middle of nowhere” underground co-creative anarchy.
A nerd at heart, she’s always looking to explore the intersection of computer vs human artist, “embracing creative chaos”.
