Yesterday, we proudly celebrated the official opening of our newly redeveloped Peartree Campus – a major milestone for One YMCA and the local community.
It was a wonderful event filled with inspiring stories from beneficiaries, meaningful talks from our CEO Guy and Christian Mission Team, guided tours of the new campus, networking with supporters and partners, and lovely food shared together.
After more than two decades of planning and over two years of construction, it was incredibly special to officially open a space that is already providing safe, supportive and high-quality accommodation for local people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible – our funders, supporters, delivery partners, the people who helped design and build the campus, and the dedicated staff who work there day and night to support our residents. Your commitment, care and belief in this vision have helped create a place of hope, stability and opportunity for so many.
We are also incredibly grateful to Bishop Richard Atkinson for officially opening the campus and helping us mark this important moment together.
