Wow, what a way to start May … makes you wonder what the rest of the month is going to be like! As always, thank you so much for your support. And thank you to everyone who helps out behind the scenes, rarely venturing out in front of the camera, just wanted to say you are seen, and all that you do is very much appreciated! And thank you to anyone who talks about our work, or recommends us to their friends … again, we really appreciate all those small but super powerful moments of support. Just taking a moment to thank everyone who helped make yesterday happen, especially the tutors who supported their students to take part. We will share photos and film of the actual event when we get them, but here are photographs from our first event. It was very moving to witness how much trust and confidence has been built over the months working together, not to mention an amazing piece of music that the students should be proud of, and the sense of community and connection the whole project has nurtured. Looking forward to another day at @Cambridge Regional College (@crc_college ) Today we will be finishing off the songs we are creating with the students we are working with, and will be sharing these later today as part of the college’s celebration of their Sanctuary status. These pictures are from the first days we came to the college. Not only are we working on creating music, but we also worked with Visual Arts and Creative Media. Friday 1st May 2026 will be a date I remember for a very long time! @oneworldorchestrauk making our @brightonfestival debut to a packed out crowd in the Dome Studio. And we smashed it! Huge thanks to our wonderful Dome producer David Martin and the team at the Studio who made sure we could be seen and heard and that the atmosphere was as electric as possible. And to @lucy_alexandra_davies who gave us the opportunity. To our incredible sound engineer @aaamouai who always performs miracles mixing our sound live, making sure that an oud, a string section and a rock drum kit can perform in the same song and still make audible musical sense. To our Artistic Director, the cool, calm and collected @jim.pinchen who steered our ship with musical finesse all evening and who composed many of the songs in our set. To @vicki.balaam our tireless, inspirational producer, working selflessly in the background to make sure we’re funded and get so many fantastic opportunities. And to the big beautiful band of glorious musicians who make up OWO - each of you is a star in your own right. Together we’re a galaxy of insanely beautiful sounds.
