If you missed out on tickets to our Wiltons show next week - fear not.
We still have availability for our Hidden Tracks show in conjunction with @montreuxjazzfestival and @southbankcentre - on Saturday 14th March (next weekend) at 7.45 in the Purcell room.
Not only are we this close (imagine fingerssqueezed together) finalising our line-up of stories BUT we can also reveal that we will have a special guest story from the one and only Ahnansé on the night as well!
I can tell you with some confidence, and more gratitude, that all the storytellers have been grafting hard on refining their stories - and this will be another Hidden Tracks night to remember.

One of the ways we know if a workshop has gone well is when we say goodbye at 9.30pm and nobody leaves for an hour after that.
We are a few workshops into the Hidden Tracks program for the Montreaux Jazz festival and already we have more powerful stories than we can program for the night. Each person who stepped into the Southbank Centre rooms with @kristianbrodie , @yewa_banks and I has brought in a story that is unique, authentic and deeply resonant.
Unfortunately we can't invite you into the workshop room to see people surfacing these moments of magic - or to see as they step into their power owning and sharing pivotal moments in their lives. But we CAN invite you to come and watch the final five on 14th March in the Purcell Room.
Our mainstage show is nearly sold out, so this is going to be the next chance you have to be surprised and delighted by stories of life changing songs. Copy and paste link below:

While this isn't militantly true - we'd be lying if we said we didn't believe in the power of music to shape lives.
What are you all listening to at the moment and what would you like it to say about you?
I've just been introduced to the wonder that is Kaia Kater - and among other things I think it says that I'd like to learn the banjo...
Still 4 tickets left to join @kristianbrodie and I @wiltonsmusichall 7pm on March 10th.
You will have stories about life changing songs from @tommcraemusic , @shappikhorsandi , @katherinemay_ , @felixwhite and Michel Faber!

There are a million different routes into find a story about a song that changed your life...
When I designed the first Hidden Track workshops 2018, the exercises were then, as they are now, simple, intuitive and fun - Here's one you can do in 2-4 minutes:
Write down songs that you:
-Sing in the shower / car
-Remembered at home / school / uni
-Reminds you of a dear friend
-Reminds you of a parent
-Reminds you of a lover
-You want played at your wedding / funeral
-Reminds you of someone you found / lost
-Reminds you of an epic adventure
-Reminds you of parties/clubs/being alone in your teens
-That you just have to dance to
-That helped you makes sense of something/someone/yourself
-That you use as a mantra
-That you use to pick yourself up
-Helped you find your calling
-Make you laugh
-You need to singalong to
Even if you only have 4-6 answers, you have the beginning of something real and powerful.
I'll post another exercise this week BUT if you want the real life experience with myself, @yewa_banks and @kristianbrodie at the Southbank Centre for free - apply using the link below before Monday 17th

It's easier than you think....
You can be part of this line-up! You don't need to play, sing or even be any kind of expert in Jazz.
You just need a jazz track that means a lot to you - and the courage to explore why in a series of free workshops with @yewa_banks@kristianbrodie and @adamjshak
Go to the link below to find out more and apply:

Whatever your experience with telling stories, sharing them in front of an audience - we promise we will work to match any nerves with excitement.
Excited to be part of Southbank Centre x Montreux Jazz Festival Residency at @SouthbankCentre - and you can be too!
Until Monday 12th Jan you can apply to join our public workshops to help you find and develop the story of a song that changed your life.
We've been running Hidden Track workshops since 2018 and this next cohort will be the same with one jazzy difference.
Like epic stories we've had on the show from @sowetokinch and @tom_cullen - we are looking for stories about JAZZ songs that have changed your life. Niche? Certainly. Apt for a Jazz festival? Unquestionably.
Apply now and join @kristianbrodie@yewa_banks and @adamjshak for the warmest journey in the coldest part of the year.
