Organized by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), the IIDA Interior Design Competition enters its 52nd edition this year. As one of the most representative global awards in commercial interior design, it recognizes outstanding spatial creativity and execution across categories.
This year, One Plus Partnership is shortlisted with DL CINEMA and THE KNOT HOUSE jewelry store—making us the only design firm with two shortlisted projects in the entire competition.
DL CINEMA — Entertainment Category｜A Cinematic Landscape Rooted in “Origin Forestscape”
This cinema is built upon the core concept of “Origin Forestscape.”
The forest—symbolizing natural order, vitality, and primal energy—became the starting point for reimagining the cinematic experience.
In the spatial language, we distilled an abstract forest imagery through a restrained palette and minimal materials. Layers of light and shadow shape an atmosphere of immersion, exploration, and creative awakening—echoing how cinema itself begins with inspiration and unfolds through light.
This approach of achieving depth through minimalism creates a visual expression that is both controlled and full of tension. From the moment visitors step into the cinema, they encounter a narrative opening guided by light.

Silent Drift - Designing a weightless arrival
The drop‑off area draws inspiration from the quiet presence of wind—not its form, but the gentle lightness it leaves behind. The design captures the calm, unburdened state of mind when arriving home or setting out for the day, as if the air itself offers a moment of ease.
A series of white ceiling elements creates a subtle rhythm, reminiscent of wind passing through and leaving soft, scattered impressions. Without relying on curves, the composition conveys a natural, effortless sense of movement. The palette of warm beige stone and clean white reinforces a serene, breathable atmosphere, allowing every pause in the space to feel like a brief rest within a quiet breeze.
風的留白-落容區的靜謐與流動
車落客區以「風」作為靈感來源，不是描繪風的形狀，而是捕捉風掠過後留下的輕盈與留白。設計希望住戶在回家與出門的片刻，都能感受到一種被微風托起的輕鬆與自在。
天花以一系列純白的立體造型呈現，如同風輕輕拂過後留下的節奏與層次，沒有刻意的曲線，卻帶著自然散落的韻律。空間以米色石材與白色為主調，營造柔和、安定而透氣的氛圍，讓每一次停留，都像在風中稍作歇息，心情自然沉澱。

Pencil Terrance — A Pencil‑Inspired Public Rooftop Garden Crowning the Mall
Pencil Terrance is a public rooftop garden shaped through the language of minimal lines, creating an elevated oasis within the city.
The design concept originates from the idea of the pencil—the beginning of all creation, a tool that is direct, honest, and infinitely open to revision.
Its pure, extendable linearity is translated into a series of vertically arranged cylindrical forms.
Through subtle twists and variations in height, these cylinders evolve into planters, seating, and spatial interfaces, establishing a rhythm that is both orderly and fluid.
Together, they transform the rooftop into a three‑dimensional garden for strolling, pausing, and viewing the city from above.
The overall expression remains intentionally simple, with a color palette defined by two gentle tones—grey‑blue and soft orange.
Grey‑blue introduces calmness and depth, while soft orange brings warmth and approachability.
Under natural light, the two hues blend into a comfortable, airy atmosphere that feels effortless and inviting.
Within this garden shaped by pencil lines, cylindrical forms, and nature, wind, light, and time become perceptible again—extending seamlessly into the daily life of the community.
Pencil Terrance — 以鉛筆為靈感的商埸天台花園
Pencil Terrance 商埸天台花園是以極簡線條構築一個屬於城市的空中綠洲。
整個設計語言源自「鉛筆」的基本概念——鉛筆是一切創作的起點，是最直接、最誠實、最可修改的工具。
我們以鉛筆的直線作為靈感，把這種純粹而可延伸的語彙轉化為一系列垂直排列的全新圓柱體。
透過高低錯落的節奏與輕微的扭動，這些圓柱體演變成花槽、座椅與界面等空間元素，在重複與變化之間建立出既秩序又流動的韻律，讓天台成為一個可漫步、可停留、可觀景的立體花園。
整體線條保持極度簡潔，色彩則以兩種柔和色調——灰藍與粉橙——作為主軸。
灰藍帶來平靜與深度，粉橙注入溫度與親和力，兩者在光線下交織出一種舒適、輕盈而不造作的氛圍。
在這個由鉛筆線條、圓柱體與自然共同構成的空中花園裡，風、光與時間重新被看見，成為居民日常生活的延伸。

The Sierra Sea Sales Gallery has been awarded a Honoree Award in the United States’ Best of Year Awards, presented by Interior Design — a global design authority with over 90 years of influence.
Redefining what a sales gallery can be, Sierra Sea introduces a museum‑like, art‑immersive experience that breaks away from traditional property presentation. The space transforms the natural landscape of Sai Sha into a curated journey, offering prospective buyers an elevated encounter that feels more like visiting a contemporary art museum than viewing a development.
This recognition celebrates the project’s bold vision and its success in setting a new benchmark for experiential real‑estate design.
Sierra Sea 銷售展廳榮獲美國 Interior Design《Best of Year Awards》 榮譽獎殊榮。這本擁有 逾 90 年歷史的國際設計權威雜誌，對項目的創新體驗給予高度肯定。

Honoured to Serve on the D&AD 2026 Spatial Design Jury in UK
We are pleased to announce that Virginia Lung, Creative Director of our studio, has been invited once again by D&AD—one of the world’s most respected design institutions with over six decades of influence—to join the Jury for the 2026 Spatial Design category.
Following her role as Jury President in 2021, this renewed appointment reflects D&AD’s continued recognition of her leadership and contribution to global design excellence. The first round of judging will take place online, with final deliberations held in the UK.
Thank you for being part of our creative community. We look forward to celebrating the outstanding work that will emerge this year.

Blessed by Wind, Fortuned by Water — Celebrating the Spirit of Sierra Sea
We’re excited to share our newly designed Lunar New Year red packets — two fully original designs created entirely by our team. This year’s message, “風生水起,” carries a special meaning for us. Inspired by Sierra Sea’s surroundings — embraced by mountains and water — we wanted this blessing to echo the project’s natural energy and bring the same rising momentum into the new year.
The accompanying sleeve features a curated set of visual elements that complement the festive theme, bringing the concept to life in a subtle and cohesive way.
A heartfelt thank‑you to Sun Hung Kai for their continued trust. With the recent launch of Sierra Sea Phase 2, we’re honoured to once again contribute to one of their most significant developments in recent years.
Beyond the core sales gallery, our scope also extended to selected clubhouse areas, show flats, staff uniforms, and even the project’s character mascot design — allowing us to explore creative directions far beyond interior design alone. We’re especially proud to have been entrusted with the project’s logo design, a key element for such a major development.
This collaboration has allowed us to expand our creative boundaries across multiple disciplines, and we’re grateful for the partnership that made it possible.

我們很高興與大家分享今年全新設計的農曆新年利是封——兩款由我們團隊全程原創的設計。今年的主題 「風生水起」 對我們而言別具意義。靈感源自 Sierra Sea 被山海環抱的自然環境，我們希望把這份蓬勃向上的力量帶給大家，在新一年一同乘風而起、順勢而旺。
利是封的封套則以一系列精心挑選的視覺元素組合而成，與整體節慶概念相互呼應，呈現細膩而和諧的氛圍。
衷心感謝 新鴻基地產 的信任。隨着 Sierra Sea 第二期 近期推出，我們很榮幸再次參與這個近年來規模最重要的項目之一。

Lighting Up the Best of Twenty Years
Earlier we shared the exciting news that One Plus Partnership’s Wuhan Wushang Mall International Cinema was honoured with Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year – Best of Twenty Years award.
We’ve now received the trophy from the organisers, and it’s truly a thoughtful piece. The iconic light‑bulb concept has always been the signature of this award, symbolising creativity and inspiration.
For the 20th anniversary, the design becomes even more special: the bulb lights up — a glowing celebration of two decades of innovation, and a reminder that our cinema project has been recognised as the best of the past twenty years.
Grateful for this honour, and inspired to keep pushing boundaries.

Honored to Serve as Judge for HKIA Annual Design Awards
We are pleased to share a meaningful professional engagement from our team. Our Design Director, Ms. Virginia Lung, was invited by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) to serve as one of the professional judges for their Annual Design Awards. Representing the interior design sector, she contributed her expertise and creative insight through multiple rounds of evaluation to help recognize outstanding architectural and design works.
The Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony, held at the Rosewood Hong Kong, brought together leaders from the business community, government, and the architectural and design professions. Although Ms. Lung was unable to attend the ceremony, it remained a memorable occasion celebrating innovation, excellence, and the spirit of design.
We remain committed to supporting the development of Hong Kong’s design industry and to fostering creativity, professional standards, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration.

In a quiet corner of Beijing, One Plus unveils a newly envisioned jewelry space inspired by the timeless Chinese knot — a symbol of blessings, longing, and heartfelt connection. Reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, this ancient motif becomes the emotional core of the design, reflecting our belief that jewelry is not merely adornment, but a vessel of sentiment.
Three‑dimensional knots unfold into delicate lattice screens, allowing light to filter through and cast interwoven shadows across the interior. Suspended knot motifs extend the cultural narrative overhead, while bespoke chairs crafted exclusively for the space echo the same artistry in every detail.
Here, culture and design converge. Each piece of jewelry transcends its material form to become a gesture of affection, a story carried forward, an extension of human connection. Light and tradition intertwine, shaping a poetic realm where heritage meets modernity.

In another zone of the Sierra Sea Sales Gallery, One Plus brings a poetic vision to life — a space where design flows like water and imagination takes shape.
Slender tubes rise from the ground and descend from the ceiling, forming graceful arcs that ripple across the space. Their gradient hues of blue and green evoke the rhythm of the ocean, while the carpet beneath — a blend of soft blues and greens — recalls both sea and meadow.
Within the Clubhouse zone, life-sized figures stand tall — each one carefully designed to represent future moments of joy: families gathering, couples relaxing, lives unfolding. These characters animate the space, showcasing the amenities and atmosphere that await.
Designed by One Plus, this immersive zone invites you to imagine not just a home, but a way of living — fluid, vibrant, and full of connection.
