This past Saturday @richrootz_ had the incredible honor of vending at the powerful film release of 40 Acres at the One Earth Film Festival hosted by @blackgirlenvironmentalist at the @patagoniachicago store in Fulton Market, downtown Chicago. 🌿✨
To be in a space centered around environmental justice, indigenous and Black voices, and the urgent conversations surrounding health disparities in our communities was truly a blessing. 40 Acres highlights the deep connection between land, liberation, and sustainability—issues that directly impact our people both locally and globally.
We are deeply aligned with the mission of organizations like Black Girl Environmentalist, who continue to amplify the voices of Black women in environmental spaces while addressing the disproportionate health and environmental challenges our communities face. We also honor Patagonia for their longstanding global commitment to environmental activism, sustainability, and using business as a force for protecting our planet.
Being able to represent Rich Roots in such intentional spaces, offering our all-natural and organic wellness products to the community, reminds us that our work is bigger than products—it’s about healing, education, sustainability, and generational wellness.
We are grateful to continue planting seeds in rooms that cultivate impact, health, and collective liberation. 🌱🤎

Honored to serve as a panelist at @oneearthff showing of How to Power a City at the Institute of Cultural Affairs. The room was packed. Robust discussions about the future and vision of a sustainability powered city. Great collaboration with @icausaorg and @icca.climate , Union of Concerned Scientists and City of Chicago Department of the Environment.
An amazing One Earth Film Festival screening of 40 Acres at @patagoniachicago in collaboration with @blackgirlenvironmentalist . Together we are transforming Patagonia into a theatre to bring together community for an amazing film about food sovereignty, land ownership, and survival! Thank you to our event tablers and sponsors including @richrootz_@modelousa and more!

Today, Epiphany’s upstairs sanctuary becomes a home for environmental storytelling, with a special View & Brew screening of Whose Water? Settle into one of the most unique venues in the city, connect with others, and engage with a story that asks urgent questions about access, equity, and the future of our water.
Commissioner Precious Brady-Davis will moderate a lively discussion with the audience and panelists Gaby Wagener-Sobrero (Environmental Justice Program Director for the City of Chicago Dept. of Environment), Megan Cunningham (Director of Programs for the Alliance for the Great Lakes) & Oscar Sanchez (Executive Director of the South East Environmental Task Force). This is a conversation you won’t want to miss!
