Earlier this year I tried to get to this spot to see if the checkered marble floor was still there? and it’s still there! 🤯 after all these years ✨ The area was all boarded off and looks like they’re rebuilding the site. I used my ninja skills to get some photos after scaling the wall. From across the road, on the top floor of the carpark you can see it much better. So much history in a changing landscape ✨

A massive thanks to so many people who brought this kaupapa to life and made this so special ✨ Firstly, Diana Hu for reaching out and curating a dope line up of events, support networks and for the vision. Being a Bgirl and a fellow photographer I knew your heart was in the right place to make this one for the history books. Te Oro staff and crew. Justin, Clinton, Lisi, Max, Neo, Josh, Naeema & Mocha-Daisy. Thanks for being so patient with me and helping across all the finer details. The panel speakers at Te Oro, Otis Frizzel, Raymond Sagapolutele & Taupuhi Toki aka Bboy Papa Smurf. Thanks for your tautoko.

King Haser, Brooo! super tough piece, was actually the highlight of the show for me. Calen, thanks for your touch on the garage door.

📸 Acknowledging the Press - March for Humanity 💙
At yesterday’s March for Humanity in Tāmaki Makaurau, our press presence was powerful and deeply symbolic. Each member of the media wore a custom vest emblazoned with PRESS and the Tino Rangatiratanga and Palestine flags. Vests commissioned by Kaiāwhina and crafted by @fashionrebellionaotearoa in honour of the journalists martyred in Gaza. This was a tribute and a statement: we will not forget those who have had their lives taken by genocidal Israeli settler colonial violence. They are all heroes and martyrs that died because they reported the truth and the horrors of the genocide in Gaza to the world.
We extend our gratitude to the press for your outstanding work, principled commitment, and solidarity with Palestine. By documenting our march yesterday and the fight for the past 2 years you have amplified the voices of our people, and the call for justice.
Your presence honours those martyred, strengthens our movement, and always carries our demands. Sanctions Now! End the Genocide. Free Palestine.
✊🏽🇵🇸
