Start from your One Corner…
For anyone looking to achieve something; we say just start. Start from your One Corner. This is a reminder to ourselves primarily and an example for everyone else that there’s no shame in starting with what you have. We did with chairs made from firewood and car tyres and but look at us now.
We are dedicated to keep evolving further and further whilst we look forward to welcoming the continued treasured support of our patrons; without whom none of this would be possible. Much love to all.
Today’s message is to just start that venture with what you have; don’t wait. @omg_itz_van_lare thanks for the drone shots

Its not enough just to SANKOFA (go back and fetch Ancestral Knowledge), but essential to also CARRY ON TRADITIONS!
As previously mentioned, the zeitgeist for self-determination isn't only shared by Ghana gov only and one of the poignant reflections of this was the experience had @onecornergh where the world-renowned tradition of rum-making has been revived to meet current demands and interests...aptly titled Amammèré - TRADITIONS!
That of akpeteshie now sits firmly with other fruits such as Guava, Mango and Orange and what's especially unique here is that the rum isn't flavoured by chemical infusion to imagine a taste coupled with some future unintended consequence - this is direct extraction from the fruits!
Yet for them to confirm but i'm certain this technique also retains important healthy bioactive compounds same as retained in Gin, so even more excited for those results to come in - great news too for Vegans and Vegetarians as they can also get merry with no guilt trips on the natural content?! 😀
Their approach expands the traditional perspective by using other local fruits not historically used for such and it has the extra social value element of finding extra use for fruits that could otherwise end up in waste dumps from no-sales and producers having no access or creativity to action some value-added options such as jams, sauces etc...
As my serendipitous allies would have it, when I got there a fresh blend was being made and brewer decided to let me try at 60% of a Mango....CHOICE!
All uncle wray drinkers who like the textured taste rum and a kinda smoky back taste, this is the level ooo, trying to convince the producers to make a new line cos this percentage be the one i like pass!
It will be interesting to see where this 'happy accident' can go because their normal range at 40% feels too Belvedere-type smooth for me, perfect for the 'light' taste drinkers..so the absolut, grey-goose triple-distilled types, more a la Vodka for me but each to their threshold or taste..the 60% speaks more to my chest, if u gerrit 😊
