ABQ RIDE FY27 Budget Update.
Thank you to ABQ residents and local transit advocates for voicing your concerns about proposed budget changes. We want our community to know ABQ RIDE is not cutting service!
Our team remains on track to grow service levels and continue implementing ABQ RIDE Forward, our plan to deliver more consistent, reliable, and flexible service across the city.
The proposed FY27 budget eliminates 52 vacant positions, meaning no current employees are losing jobs. Of those vacancies, 34 are driver positions. With those reductions, ABQ RIDE will still have approximately 50 driver positions available to hire in the coming fiscal year.
