Crocodile eyes.🐊 👀 Sighting is an important skill for #openwaterswimming. The goal should be to get a glimpse of where you are headed with as little disruption to your stroke as possible.
Quick Tip: Turn for air as you normally would and then on your next stroke with your opposite arm reaching forward… glance forward quickly, lifting your head just high enough to get your goggles out of the water. Drop your head back down and continue into your next stroke and breath.

Sweat or water? It’s hard to tell these days! 💦
Be sure to stay on top of your hydration to feel good and perform well in this heat. Electrolytes help regulate nerve and muscle function as well as maintaining cellular fluid balance. In extreme heat we loose more electrolytes through increased sweating. Be sure to include some in your hydration plan.
