Gleichzeitig ist sie geerdet wie nur wenige in ihrem Metier. Sie beherrscht die Reggae-Klaviatur aus dem Effeff. Bevor sie große Bühnen mit dynamischen Shows einnahm, rockte sie bereits Sound System Sessions wie ein Pro. Diese Sessions haben sie genauso beeinflusst wie Garnett Silk und Lauryn Hill. Ihr besonderes Talent blieb auch ihrem Mentor Protoje nicht verborgen. Der nahm sie bereits 2017 in sein Indiggnation Camp auf. Acht Jahre später wird sie für ihr gefeiertes Debütalbum ,,Treasure Self Love" für einen Reggae-Grammy nominiert. In der Szene rund um Protojes Habitat Studio in den Bergen über Kingston - ihre Homebase - kursiert schon länger die Bezeichnung Wurl (Jamaikanisch für World) für alles, was mit Lila zu tun hat. Sie griff den Spitznamen auf und erfüllte sich einen Kindheitstraum. Zusammen mit Joshua Waters Rudge, Sänger der englischen Band The Skints und erprobter Selector, gründete sie den Wurl Sound. Mit dem reist sie nach Sessions in Jamaika, England und Japan nun erstmals durch Deutschland. Up close & personal! Auch bei der Riddim Session #2 geht es vor allem darum, die Distanz zwischen Künstlerin und Publikum zu überwinden und Nähe zu schaffen.
