Some spring knocking on the door. So is wild garlic pesto knocking in the kitchen. Need for freshness, salads are already back in the market! And Easter eggs with some home made mayo (i add grilled sezame oil for a pimper version). I ate starwberries before the season, but i did not buy them, i was fed :) mea culpa.. Food comes easy on the plate in spring, some brigness and lightness. Also dried some primavera flowers for cake decoration ! And ate half of them while picking. To become a flower 🌸 Enjoy your meals🌱 #springmeals #homecooking #countrycooking #edibleflowers #gathering

Was very happy this year to be able to bring some grand-ma dishes to the table of the 24th of December. -black rye bread crumb, onion and white bean salad; -carrot and onion herring; -poppy seed milk with kuciukai; -rye grain soaked in water with honey; -dumplings with potato puré and dried porchini; -dumplings with blueberries. My friend Pauline added duck stuffed with marrons and rye bread crumbs. I added cranberry jam with oranges. All in all, my goal was to not overdo it, not to have too much going on neither in my head, neither in my stomach. And as soft as the snow on the 25th morning. Bisous ❄️

My dearest Marcel @anlehmani came to Paris to take me for a walk. And we did walk. And we did talk. And we read and ate and felt warm inside out. And we also complained a little about crowds of people and missed the forest tiny bit. #pariscuisine #eatinginparis #eatingparis #parisiwilleatyou!

Best time for prepping for the winter time. Getting soaked in colors before the grey white blue dark periode crawls in. Autumn! Colors ! Everything that is left in the garden is getting cooked and stored in jars for later! Luv this time 🥰 #hauteloire #autumngoodies #gettingready #gardenprovides #paysan #maraichagebio #friendsprovide #lavaudieu

Legendery poppy-seed cake by my grandma for Easter. 250ml warm milk 500g flour 1 egg 3 tablespoons of oil 3 tablespoons of sugar 20-30g yeast A pinch of salt FOR THE InSIDES 200g of poppy seed cake Half a cup of melted butter Sugar to taste Heat the milk until warm, add the yeast, eggs, sugar, salt and oil and whisk everything together. Pour the mixture into the flour and knead. Keep aside and knead for 2 more times when risen. Then roll it into a pancake, spread butter, sugar and poppy seeds on it and roll it up! Put it on a baking sheet, let it rise for 15 minutes, brush it with a beaten egg and pierce the gaps with a match. Bake at 200 degrees for 25 minutes. Decorate to taste and season. Blessings to all the grandmas 🩶 #homecooking #grandmarecipe #cookingwithnanny #cookingwithgrandma #eastercake #poppyseeds #poppyseedcake

My grandma folding a stuffed pancake. 🧡 We mixed boiled chicken meat, grilled onions with carrots ans grated cheese together. Suffed crêpes with it. Nicely heated them on the pan and ate them with the chicken broth. Simple delights, but I swear that everything tastes so good what my grandma touches ! #cookingwithgrandma #grandmacuisine #nomecooking #simplerecepies

Smoked fish in a sunset - 3 million Michelin green and rainbow stars ! The fish that my uncle fished ! I cooked it slowly on the fire because it was still frozen when we got to the spot and then I lightly smoked it on the #juniper branches that we found in the forest. I loooooove that smell. I put the branches in the pan, pan on the coals and the grill with the fish on top (i did not have a lid, it would have made it better, but it is how it is). Had some boiled potatoes with me and some smoked cheese by a local farmer that my dad befriended while being in the hospital (all these places to make friends!). Heated it up with the fish and voila voila ! Fish was perfectly cooked with that fire and juniper taste, no salt no other spices, just pure taste of sunset ! P.s. the fire was covered by snow and treated responsibly #cookingadventure #cookinonfire #campfire #juniperbranches #smokedfish #cookinginnature #wildcooking #simplecookinginnature
