How we designed a fantasy-inspired wedding without making it feel “themed” ✨
Our venue, Ashton Villa in Galveston, set the tone immediately — historic, romantic, and just a little mysterious.
From the beginning, the goal was never to create a literal theme, but a feeling.
We pulled inspiration from fantasy literature and timeless love stories — something enchanted, immersive, and slightly otherworldly.
The floral design was imagined as if the gardens outside had slowly crept inward over decades — blooming, climbing, weaving their way into the ballroom in a curated but organic way.
Lush. Overgrown. Layered. Alive.
While the rest of the design remained tailored and structured, the florals became the contrast — freeform, asymmetrical, and full of movement.
And somehow, the team brought it to life exactly as we envisioned.
Everything came together in a way that felt magical without ever feeling overdone.
Proof that inspiration will always outshine a literal theme 🤍
