“I am known for running things. I am a project manager for events and productions, in fashion as well as in more lifestyle and musical surroundings. Most recently I was the project manager for Sneakerness Athens, a sneaker and streetwear lifestyle event, with more than 15,000 visitors. But most people know me from my days at OZON Magazine.
I’m inspired by bringing creative people together, coordinating them, and being in the same space where they coexist and create. I also love sharing my background and embracing being multicultural — something my dad instilled in me from a young age with great pride.
I grew up in Athens, but I have British citizenship. My father has roots in England, while his parents were from Egypt — Cairo and Alexandria.
My dad was mostly raised by women, and I always heard stories about how strong and dynamic the women in his life were, especially my grandmother. She is a role model for me in work, personality, and style. She was a manager at TWA (American Airlines) in three different countries. I didn’t get to know her for long, but I remember she was always fabulous in the way she dressed and a real boss at work. She got the job done.
I would love to be like her. I believe that if she saw me now, she’d really like what I’m doing. I like being magnetic with people, just like she was. I still wear her glasses.
We keep making things happen. Nothing and no one holds us back. We get the job done.“
