Recently spent 4 days at the Sofitel Cotonou Marina Hotel & Spa! It was my first visit to Cotonou, or The Republic of Benin in general, and I was pleasantly surprised by how close it is to Lagos - just a 2-3 hour drive. Although we didn’t do much sightseeing, the resort was stunning. The only downside was the food, which was a bit of a letdown. But, oh, the pastries... they were absolute perfection!!!
Tip: Find a way to order food to the hotel(Google Maps & Tik Tok helped with this). Some restaurants have WhatsApp number and will deliver. They also take cash/transfer. I used Tap Tap and Lemfi to do transfers.
