As seen in @houseandgardenuk — our 1150 x 900 deep soaking tub in a beautifully renovated 1960s townhouse in south London.
When Corey Hemingway, co-founder of Hemingway+K and formerly head of prime sales at The Modern House, set about renovating her ex-council townhouse in Lambeth, she and her sister Tilly Hemingway of Interiors by Hemingway created something really special. The whole house draws on Japanese influences, natural materials, and a playful pastel palette — and the bathroom is no exception.
House & Garden described it as a “space-maximising Japanese-style tub” — which is exactly what the 1150 x 900 is designed to be. At just 1150mm long and 900mm wide, it fits into bathrooms where most people would settle for a shower. But with 600mm of internal soaking depth, it delivers a full-body soak that a standard bath simply can’t.
The bathroom itself is stunning — sky-blue mosaic tiles from floor to ceiling, honey-toned pine cabinetry, and a frosted timber-framed window that floods the space with soft natural light. The tub sits perfectly within it, clad in matching blue mosaic with a trailing plant cascading over the edge. It’s compact, considered, and exactly the kind of thoughtful design that proves deep soaking isn’t about having the biggest bathroom — it’s about choosing the right tub.
Every Omnitub is handmade at our workshop in Somerset. The 1150 x 900 is one of our most compact models, but it doesn’t compromise on depth. It’s the same 600mm internal soaking depth as our larger tubs, available in any colour, and comes with a 30-year warranty. It’s perfect for en-suites, small bathrooms, and projects where space is tight but standards aren’t.
