These chickens have a better evening routine than we do 🐓😂
You saw how easy our morning routine is, and our evenings look pretty similar too ⤵️
Most afternoons we give them some treats - sweetcorn being the current favourite 🌽
The second they hear us coming, they all shove their way to the front like they’ve never been fed before 😅
We collect their eggs, top up their grit when needed, let them free roam around their chicken garden, and then get them tucked up safely for bed in the evening.
One of my favourite parts of our setup is the automatic coop door linked to the
@omlet_uk app.
Once the girls are back in their run, the auto light comes on, and the auto door closes itself based on the settings we’ve chosen, which makes evenings feel really easy to manage!
We also close the nesting box at night so they don’t sleep in there - which definitely helps keep it cleaner too 👏
** although they have started laying earlier in the morning so we’ve dropped this habit recently 🤣 **
And yes… we really do say goodnight to them every evening 🥹
