A while ago I went to an Arabic Imbiss (food stall) in Neukölln. The owner is always so warm—offering people a falafel to try while they wait, giving away leftover bread. It's one of my favorite food spots in Berlin.
That day, a man grabbed some of the free bread and yelled at the owner: “Chef, give me some hot sauce for the bread!”
The owner gently replied that he didn’t have enough sauce to give away that day.
The man got angry, cursed, rode off on his bike—and threw the bread onto the street for cars to run over.
I was furious and wanted to argue with him, but the owner stopped me and said quietly:
“Let him be. You give out free bread, and they always want more.”
He looked sad.
Just then, another man crossed the street. He picked up the discarded bread and returned it to the stall. I couldn’t understand his words, but his warm gesture—a kiss from his hand and a bright, kind smile—lifted both our moods.
That moment was so touching I wanted to preserve it—so I drew it with Procreate.
Procreate is the most intuitive tool I’ve ever used—and at the same time, it’s powerful enough for professional work.

Color practice with Procreate @moviescenesdrawingsession , today we draw the scenes from legendary puppet movie
“Dark crystal ”（1982 ), each scene we have 20 mins to draw. I found it extremely effective for color study, and with the time pressure, being forced to abandon detail and old habits, and see significant breakthrough in just 2 hours. It’s very challenging but also super fun! Highly recommended to join their sessions if you want to improve quickly :)
The Cafe’s Madame is also super cosy and friendly, I am looking forward to Go again.

This is the first time in 18 years that I use acrylic paint to paint again. Because it was so long ago, I feel like I am painting with my past life experience. I forgot all the rules and focused on the colors I felt at the moment. In the famous Mandarin Kung fu novel written by Jin Yong, Tai Chi Master Zhang Sanfeng teaches the protagonist Tai Chi sword and asks him to forget all the moves. The integration of art is a bit like martial arts. Forgetting is the beginning of understanding.
18年來我第一次再次使用壓克力顏料作畫，因為太久遠，感覺像是用前世的經驗在作畫一樣. 我遺忘了所有的規則，專注在當下感受到的色彩. 金庸小說的倚天屠龍記中,太極大師張三丰教導主角太極劍，要他遺忘所有的招式. 藝術的融會貫通，也有點像武術，遺忘了，才是理解的開端.

Unser Workshop über das digitale Zeichnen ist für alle Künstler*innen geeignet, die digital zeichnen lernen wollen – aber auch für alle Neugierigen, ganz ohne Vorkenntnisse in der Kunst- und Illustrationswelt.
Wir schnappen uns das iPad, den Apple Pencil, die App Procreate und tauchen tief in ihre kreativen Weiten ein! Lasst uns gemeinsam auf Entdeckungsreise gehen!
Gemeinsam werden wir alle Funktionen von Procreate entdecken, lernen, wie man die Ebenen effektiv nutzt und eine eigene Farbpalette zusammenstellt, werden die bereitgestellten Brushes erkunden und auch eigene erstellen und werden uns sogar anschauen, wie man eine kleine Animation erschaffen kann!
