My gorgeous bride here asked for a FULL glam, and this is exactly what that looks like: full coverage, sculpted skin, lashes, definition, layering — the whole beat ✨
I think what confuses people sometimes is that because we’re using neutral colors close to her skin tone, it can read softer. But this is still a full glam look.
Lately I’ve been having brides show me inspiration photos like this while saying they want “natural makeup,” and I realized social media has kind of warped what people think natural actually means.
Professional bridal makeup is almost always going to be more makeup than what you’re used to seeing on yourself day to day — especially if you normally wear little to no makeup. And that’s okay! It just means communication and setting expectations before your trial is SO important.
If you’re not used to seeing yourself in a full beat, it can honestly feel a little jarring at first even if the makeup is beautiful.
So my advice to brides:
🤍 Be really honest about your comfort level with makeup
🤍 Tell your artist what you normally wear day to day
🤍 Don’t just focus on the inspo photo — focus on how you actually want to FEEL
At the end of the day, your makeup artist isn’t trying to turn you into someone else. The goal is just an elevated version of you on your wedding day ✨
