Artist Spotlight 070 . Heyo friends! My name is Hacki and I am a music producer from Essen, Germany. When I was about 14 years old, a friend of mine sent me a playlist of music I had never heard before. I was fascinated by all the different styles and sounds that existed in this emerging genre called "Dubstep". A little later I listened to the UKF Dubstep Tutorial on YouTube and an idea popped into my head: "Hey, I could try making this kind of music too!" and with that began my lifelong obsession with creating weird sounds and fat subs on my computer. I have since become one of the administrators of the /r/riddim subreddit and I also help out at @officialhavocrecords . Anything that helps spread the love for dubstep is something I want to be a part of. While I was part of the scene for years, I mainly made music for fun and rarely uploaded anything publicly. It was around this time that I met my brother @gresivgram who encouraged me to finish some of it and finally put it out there. Since then, I have received nothing but love and support. A year ago I joined @funnybonecollective and was able to befriend even more awesome people who share my love and vision for this type of music. Shoutout @midrolltm for bringing together the gang. If you are as passionate about dubstep as we are, keep an eye out for Funnybone because we are about to take over the scene!
