Closing out the week on a high 💛 Yesterday some of our incredible OMD’ers tackled the busy streets of London for the Creds Media Marathon in support of Suicide&Co. Even though the weather was not on their side, all of our runners crossed the finish line and raised money for a truly incredible cause, and we couldn’t be prouder! Huge shoutout to Amelia Carter, Emily Barnard, Pia De Giorgis, Jaipreet Birdi, Emma Gilmore and Iwan Bowen Rees – you smashed it!

Last week we welcomed TikTok to the OMD UK office for TikTok Showtime 2026 🔮 Designed to support 2026 planning and elevate client conversations, the session brought together platform insights, practical strategies, interactive moments and a few unexpected surprises along the way. A highlight was our very own Khalidah in conversation with Content Creator, Ayamé Ponder; sharing perspectives on creative processed and the balance between brand caution and creative freedom. McDonald’s CARDS are here! Built from McDonald's fandom, today a brand-new trading card game launches in UK restaurants. 24 collectible cards, with free food in every pack and digital experiences unlocking the story behind each one. In a love letter to trading card culture, the cards feature premium stock, full-art designs, rare holos and golds, booster packs, binders and collector tins. The details collectors actually care about 👊 We have brought CARDS to life with creators like Randy and PokiChloe, a curated lore archive by Lee Bofkin, sponsorship of the London Card Show, murals with Global Street Art, and a social partnership with HYPEBEAST. Young people’s online lives are being debated more than ever, so it’s crucial we amplify their voices. Along with our partners at @nspcc_official and Childline, we’ve created Where We Stand, a new YouTube series made with young people, for young people. In each episode, a group of teens vote Yes or No to big questions about life online - from AI to online safety - while influencers try to guess the results. Huge shoutout to our OMD UK team and our production partners at @cowshed.collective for bringing this to life.💚 Episode 1 is live on the Childline YouTube channel, with new episodes dropping weekly.

Last week we launched 'Create Presents', a new series of talks to platform new partners and great ideas, hosted by our OMD Create team. For our first talk, Hayel Wartemberg (Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Word on the Curb) took us through their new report 'The Algorithm Made Me do it', which distills key insights from their 2000 strong Gen Z panel. The report provides the inside scoop on how culture, fandom and influence really work and how to make content that Gen Z can’t scroll past. Huge thanks to our brilliant OMD'ers for hosting and organising Wunmi Adesina, Ben Thomas, Dan North-Walker.

Mercedes-Benz Vans wins Best Custom Media Research Project at the Adwanted Media Research Awards (AMRAs) 🏆 Our project set out to unlock growth opportunities for Mercedes-Benz Vans, shaping Mercedes-Benz Vans’ strategy for 2026 and beyond. Judges said "OMD made excellent use of both qualitative and quantitative techniques to segment results by fleet size, providing Mercedes-Benz with a clear roadmap to tailor messaging by audience to unlock growth opportunities". Huge congratulations to everyone involved, including Tammy Bainbridge, Bella Soerdasono and Ike Ogbodo, along with our partners at Peek Content.

To bring one of the most iconic shows of the 90s back into culture, we’ve created three major partnerships within one integrated campaign, designed to ignite millennial nostalgia while tapping into Gen Z behaviours. Here’s how we brought the fandom to life: 🍿 The landmark McDonald’s Friends Festival with Digital Cinema Media In the first-ever triple takeover of Leicester Square across ODEON, Vue and Cineworld, over the weekend we welcomed 15,000 fans to enjoy some of the classic episodes on the big screen. A nationwide moment for Friends lovers, timed perfectly after the show left Netflix. 📰 A culturally fluent content partnership with BuzzFeed From the official Friends Festival announcement to street side hot takes (“Were Ross and Rachel really on a break?”), creator-led collectable reveals, and our very own McDonald’s x Friends BuzzFeed Quiz - BuzzFeed is helping us spread the nostalgia nationwide. 🏃‍♀️ A Phoebe inspired Run Club with Secret London A one-off McDonald’s x Friends takeover of Secret London Run Club, celebrating the Central Perk McCafé range with a 5k “ditch the pace, embrace the fun” run in Battersea Park. Think community vibes, bespoke merch, and a well-earned McCafé coffee at the finish line. Join us Sunday 1st March!
