Jan… so faršŸ’› January really said ā€˜let me shake everything that isn’t aligned before the year starts properly.’ Unhinged? Yes. Necessary? Also yes.

From the very first breath to every milestone that follows, we walk this journey with you. From birth, through every tiny milestone, every question, every moment of doubt and strength - birth, immunisation and post partum care is not just about care and protection, it’s about the intimate care, continuity and showing up for both baby and mom all the way. Because maternal care doesn’t end after delivery. Because your well-being matters just as much. Because you deserve support at every step. You are not alone in this. Never have been, never will be.

Motherhood doesn’t pause for style - and honestly, neither do I. Between raising boys, showing up for everyone and finding moments for myself in between, I still want to feel good in what I wear. Comfortable, effortless, put together. Fit - @batela_sa

Welcome to your Blissful Births journey. As we observe Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re reminded that caring for mothers goes far beyond physical health - it’s also about ensuring every woman feels emotionally supported, heard, safe and held throughout her pregnancy and postpartum journey. Our New Client Intake Days are designed to make every mom feel seen, supported and cared for from the very beginning. Whether you’re newly pregnant or further along in your journey, our doulas and midwives walk alongside you every step of the way. From important health screenings and consultations to answering all your questions, this visit is all about creating a safe and supportive space for you and your baby - mentally, emotionally and physically. Because at Blissful Births, you’re more than a patient. You’re family šŸ’› #MaternalMentalHealthWeek #MidwifeCare #PregnancyJourney #AntenatalCare #DoulaSupport

Hey Mama Somewhere between ā€œI’ve got thisā€ and hiding in the bathroom for 5 minutes of silence… is a mother holding it all together with a hair clip and pure willpower. This is your reminder this World Maternal Mental Health Month & Week: Strength isn’t always loud, glowing or Instagrammable. Sometimes it looks like asking for help, cancelling plans, moving the plans to your living room, or admitting ā€œtoday is heavyā€ and reaching out to someone you trust. We joke because we have tošŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø (or we’ll cry) We carry because we must. But we also deserve to be held too. Check on the moms who look like they’re handling it all - especially the one in the mirroršŸ’› #MaternalMentalHealth #MaternalMentalHealthWeek

I used to think motherhood was about giving everything. Now I know it’s also about choosing myself - gently, daily. This Mother’s Day, I’m choosing ease, presence and pieces that hold me too. @batela_sa - for the woman who does it all and deserves softness back.

I used to measure time in contractions, due dates and first cries. In the sacred work of being a doula, I’ve held women as they crossed over into motherhood, into power, into versions of themselves they hadn’t met yet. And somewhere along the way… I realised I was crossing over too. Because while I’ve helped bring babies earth-side, my own babies are growing beyond me… needing less holding, more witnessing and holding space. This season feels like running out of baby… And also stepping deeper into becoming. Not the one birthing life through my body, but the one rising through purpose. Holding. Guiding. Becoming. Because the truth is I don’t think I ever stopped birthing. I just shifted what I’m bringing into the world. The journey is the destination šŸŒøšŸ’›
