As a new mum, I have come to realise that self-care is non negotiable for both my well-being and baby’s happiness. Here are the reasons a new mom needs daily skincare routine- - [ ] Promotes self-care and “me” time: Skincare routines provide an opportunity for new moms to focus on themselves, even if it’s just a few minutes a day. - [ ] Boosts confidence: Healthy, glowing skin can enhance a new mom’s confidence, helping her feel more comfortable in her own skin. - [ ] Reduces stress-induced breakouts : Motherhood can be overwhelming, and stress can lead to breakouts. A consistent skincare routine helps manage stress-related skin issues. - [ ] Enhances skin elasticity & firmness after pregnancy: Pregnancy can cause skin stretching. Skincare routines rich in collagen-boosting ingredients help restore skin elasticity. - [ ] Fades stretch marks & hyperpigmentation: Skincare routines incorporating ingredients like Antioxidants and broad spectrum SPF can help reduce the appearance of stretch marks and hyperpigmentation. Cheers to all the new mums✹ Products used- @biodermauk Sensibio H2O micellar water @larocheposay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel @lizearlebeautyco instant boost skin tonic @facetheory Blemicalm Azelaic Acid 15% Clarifying Serum @qmsmedicosmetics @cliniqueuk dramatically different moisturising lotion @elizabetharden eight hour cream Breast pump @momcozy @momcozy.uk #SelfCareForMoms #NewbornSkincare #YouDeserveIt”#skincare #mumskincare #momcozybreastpump

Expired vitamin C won’t help your skin. If it looks dark, it’s time to throw it out. #vitaminc #oxidized

I no longer allow trends dictate my routine. My skin doesn’t need everything
it needs what works for me. I have stopped underestimating the power of rest. Lack of sleep shows up on the skin faster than any product can fix. Beauty sleep is real. I stopped going to bed with makeup on, no matter how tired I was. It was one of the biggest contributors to dullness, clogged pores, and premature ageing. I chose to stop overwhelming my skin with complicated routines. Minimal, intentional steps gave me more glow than 10‑step chaos ever did. I stopped piling on acids and retinoids out of fear of ageing. More actives don’t mean better skin. My complexion improved when I respected balance instead of chasing intensity. I no longer depend on products alone. Water, electrolytes, and hydrating foods made a visible difference. Hydration is the quiet anti‑ageing secret nobody talks about enough. I stopped treating my face like it ended at my jawline. My neck and chest age faster, and they deserve the same care and protection. See this as your sign to STOP any of the above mentioned habits especially wearing makeup to sleep!

If your skin feels “off”
it’s probably asking for a reset. Signs include; 1. Your products start to sting A tiny tingle is fine, but if your gentle products suddenly feel spicy, your barrier needs a breather. 2.Your skin suddenly feels tight or dry When your face starts feeling like it’s two sizes too small, your barrier is waving a little white flag. Usually it’s from over‑cleansing, over‑exfoliating, or doing the most with actives. 3.Your glow has disappeared When your skin goes from “radiant” to “why do I look tired?”, it’s often dehydration, buildup, or a routine that’s no longer doing what it used to. 4.Your routine doesn’t match your lifestyle anymore: Stress, hormones, weather, age everything shifts. Your routine should shift with you. 5. You’re using too many steps If your routine feels like a full‑time job, it’s time to simplify. Over‑layering can actually make things worse. 6. You’ve stopped seeing results Skin gets used to things. If everything feels
 meh
it might be time to tweak your actives or how often you use them. 7. Your makeup isn’t sitting right Pilling, patchiness, sliding off by lunchtime — all signs your skin is imbalanced or dehydrated underneath.

đŸ”„ Indoor heating dehydrates your skin barrier Central heating strips moisture from the air and from your skin. When the barrier becomes compromised, skin looks rough, tight, and less radiant. đŸ’€ December fatigue shows up in January Late nights, stress, travel, and disrupted routines slow down cell turnover. When your skin isn’t renewing efficiently, it reflects less light giving a tired, uneven appearance. đŸ· Festive food and drinks impact glow Alcohol, sugar, and salty foods can cause dehydration and inflammation. By January, this often shows up as dullness, puffiness, or uneven tone. 💧 We drink less water in cold weather Hydration habits drop in winter, but your skin still needs internal moisture to stay plump and bright. Dehydration shows up quickly on the face.

If you are 25 years + and wanting to take your skin to the next level, Start with the foundations: consistent barrier repair, gentle exfoliation 1–2x weekly, and targeted actives like retinal and azelaic acid introduced slowly. When your barrier is calm and supported, everything else performs better, I’m talking texture, clarity, glow.
