My Chimera obsession 🦁🐐🐍
Remember, besides the gigantic lion with a snake for tail... the dangerous part is the fire breathing goat head on his back!
I did this Chimera design using Filet: a crochet technique creating the grid of solid and open tiny squares mesh.
I designed the Chimera scheme myself merging classical pixelated animal design. Framed by the classical Greek motif.
My inspiration was my favourite statue since I was in elementary school "la Chimera di Arezzo" a 4th century BCE bronze statue I saw in a museum in Florence (where I was born).
Bonus pic: my Chimera plush I made stitching together different parts of animals plushies.
