ok guys, I’ve been in my cocoon for what feels like the last few years… but after a painful & grueling & somehow magical death and rebirth, I’m ready to start sharing again so we can step into yet another new chapter togetherrrr 🥹💃 I know there are so many OGs here who have been in the trenches of their own health and LIFE journeys right along side me for the 12?! 13?? years that I’ve been on the internet. but that’s a LONG time and means we’ve been just as many different people since! 😂 there are also lots of new folks here too, so I thought I would take this opportunity to reintroduce myself and share my story thus far. I’m excited to take you behind the scenes for whatever this exploration into music becomes; to share my process of building & growing just like I did starting Organic Olivia. I hope if nothing else, this gives you the permission to CHANGE, to be as multifaceted as you truly are, to never settle for a box, to follow your instincts relentlessly, to throw things at the wall until something sticks, to know when to stay and when to pivot, and to have a delusional level belief in yourself… because if I can do this as a once very lost girl in her 20s searching for answers and a friendship inside of herself, you CERTAINLY can too— and beyond. as I gear up for my first song release next month I’ll be sharing things like day in the life vlogs blending wellness, fitness, music/the creative process, and business as I navigate a whole new world while continuing to run OO 🌿 THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE & for inspiring me with who you guys are and your dedication to making yourselves / the world better every day ~ I HOPE YOU MAKE YOUR ART !!!! 🎨

What if half the battle of your body’s rebellion was coming from your inner child begging to be witnessed and integrated? And what if the way to see her, work with her, play with her and LOVE her was through cultivating your own inner mother? Your inner child holds the key to your creativity— your art, your wisdom, your medicine, your regulated nervous system and deep KNOWING of who you are. Your inner mother is the container that gives her the structure and safety to come through in her most balanced and joyful form. The hard part is that our inner child wasn’t often seen even when you were a child. She wasn’t always spoken to with care or she witnessed voices around her speak to themselves with harsh judgement and disdain. The voices of those around us growing up — and the relationships with self that are modeled for us — all too often become our voices and our relationship models for how we interact with ourselves as adults. I believe the key to health is restoring right relationship. In all ways… right relationship with each other, our food, planet earth, our bodies. But in order to do so, these key relationships come first. The macro starts with the micro. Healing the inner mother so that she may regain the trust of our inner child. Becoming friends with ourselves and ALL of our incredible parts that get us through each day & come in to protect us. This is the work I hope to continue to develop and bring into the future of what I do. Thank you to @chase_chewning @everforwardradio for facilitating the conversation where I get to share this for the first time. 💖 There is so much potential here for all humans who are hurting… this is the way forward. 🌈🔜👑

🦋 Today, I released the rest of my first EP (titled IBBY, my mom’s nickname for me) and she’s the first voice on it 🩷 I originally thought this was going to be my official album, but so much has changed. Instead, it’s a collection of the first 10 songs I made after years of keeping music a locked away, secret part of my life (and promising myself that one day, I’d get back to it). My mom showed me firsthand that life is so short, so precious, and sometimes ‘one day’ doesn’t come. It won’t if you don’t actively choose to make it happen. There are so many things we say we’ll do later, when our to do list is less, when we get that promotion, when we’re “ready.” Dreams we defer. We have to fight for those dreams, not to prove something to the outside world, but because making your own choices, choosing your life and making your art is a form of revolution. It frees you, it changes you. Every song I’ve written has changed me. So, may we make the choices that so many women before us could not. I thought I would release IBBY last year as my first body of work, but the final days with my mom helped me slow down and pause. Exactly one month before she left us earthside, I felt something open up + wrote 11 new songs in my room, fresh off the connection to my heart, to grief & to love. Those would go on to become part of my true first album, GEMINI MOON, coming this summer. Wild Horses was the beginning of that :) Before I continue dropping more singles from Gemini Moon, I wanted to wrap this up as an EP and send it out into the world. Wild Horses drops in TWO DAYS 🥹!! and I want to tell you the real story of how it came to be (cause we all know I’m not a country singer but it was so perfect for this song that we changed the entire thing) I flew to London this past summer to work with some new faces since I am obsessed with the uk alternative r&b sound. I had a wholeeee plan and vision. But one thing led to another: my hairdresser found a tick ON MY SCALP 2 days before I left lol, I was on heavy antibiotics and emotional/not myself (which is often when the best work happens bc your forcing/thinking brain turns off), then we get into the session and start writing in a way I’m NOT used to in my own process (concept first; I usually do chords first to feel into the concept) which pushed me even further out of my comfort zone. All week I had been listening to Always A Woman by Billy Joel, it was a song that kept me going during a time when I felt like I was failing at every part of my life — it helped me accept myself as a wild imperfect ruthless yet wise woman despite that. I wanted to write a similar love letter to women for today. It’s a message we can’t hear enough. It was my first time co-writing with a woman @ladyvmusic (plus my mentor @jackiesboy and our producer @quietgirl_1 ) and as the day went on I realized she’s just as wild as me… she’s one of them ones! Ruthless in her ideas, knows her gift, trusts her work and gut. We left that day with a very soft indie r&b V1 of Wild Horses. I took it home and sat with my own body telling me it had major potential but something was off. I rearranged the whole production that night and 2 months later flew to Nashville to record it with a band. Another incredible woman @agirlmadethis arranged the most beautiful background vocals and we all realized this was something special. We wrote this for every woman in our lineage who didn’t get to be wild. Who deserved to run free. Who was too much only for a world measuring wrong. March 18. I can’t wait for you to hear it. 🤍🐴
