The second part of my first module on the @nftsmodelmaking course!
1:8 scale replica - mdf, plaster drag, silicone mould, resin cast, Milliput, lots of glue, painting and patience
(1/3) Our first project at the NFTS! I started on the Model Making for Animation course in September, and been having the best time- it’s going way too quick! We made 3 props in 2 weeks. Learnt so much so quick and had loads of fun!
African mask made to 1:4 scale - monster clay sculpt, silicone mould, fibreglass **reference photo at the end!
A few of the simple little puppets I’ve made. Did some scale drawings and made quick Milliput and aluminium wire armatures, wrapped with foam/wool/fabric.
My favourite is the little hairy man in his costume, inspired by the character in Neil Gaiman’s Stardust.
I learnt loads on the AUB Model Making Night course. Thank you Tk for all your help and inspiration! Working with foam, Milliput, flocking, acrylic paint, and epoxy resin to make this crumbling building.
I started to teach myself to sculpt in super sculpey. The witch inspired by Neil Gaiman’s novel Stardust, and the man a re-do of my earlier sculpt I did on my Ba inspired by the Ronald Dahl short story Poison.
Back in 2021 I was able to learn from some of the amazing people at @lordwhitney , making a set in just a couple days for under £50. This was loads of fun and made me realise that I wanted to make props! Photo credit: Proud fox

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted here, but I started something really exciting in September (more to come on this…)! I want to be able to see my progress, so I’m going to post a quick catch up on a couple of the things I’ve done in the past few years :)
My first proper stop motion animation, raising awareness on coral bleaching. Excited to learn more and build my skills in animating and video editing!
