Maaza.
Great to be able to share my contribution to the recent brand refresh of Coca-Cola owned Maaza drinks by @taxistudio
I was was tasked to help create and craft this unique calligram where the Maaza brand takes on the shape of the specific Alphonso mangos that the drink is made from.
Maaza is a billion dollar company and is currently consumed worldwide but particularly in India where its currently more popular than its parent company’s own original soda. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on one of these soon - sounds like that won’t be difficult ;)

I worked with @wonderlanddesign earlier this year on the crafting of an updated logotype for @timsdairyyogurt as part of a wider brand refresh. I redrew the original Tims logo with attention paid to help if feel more creamy and full but whilst retaining the brand recognition from the original wordmark.
Bloom and Wild.
I was commissioned by Bloom and Wild to create some hand-drawn lettering for a large out of home campaign earlier this year, launched this week, to promote their flowers and bouquets for Mother’s Day 2025.
The brief was focussed not only on my creating some typographic pieces that sat comfortably within the holding shape of the vases in the photographs, but also for the lettering to be authentic, conversational and like each piece was being spoken by a different person.
I hand-drew all the original artworks using a heavy chalk pencil that created a great textural feel to each piece and then artworked these scans to create the final pieces which were overlaid onto the photography.
The campaign launched this week and is on various digital and print formats across London including some 36 sheet billboards on the London Underground.

Just something I’ve been thinking about for a while…also because I read an article that people are starting to struggle to express themselves in words and use emojis instead…🤪 (I don’t struggle to express myself in writing but I do use a lot of emojis)

The greatness of feeling small.
If you climb a mountain, or a high hill you can look down over all those miles of land and fields and think about your physical presence against it all and be reminded of how little you are. And when you stand in a huge forest full of thousands of trees that were there long before you were born and could (should) be there long after you’re gone it reminds you that the trees don’t care about your problems. And I find that makes me feel small too.
It’s good to feel small, like an insignificant speck of dust floating through space.
That’s what I was thinking about today.

Reasons to be cheerful.
Easter holidays are over and we’re all back to normal. Some of you might be quite pleased about that ;)
The weather’s looking decent this week, it’s brighter in the mornings when I get up and I’m going back to the gym today for the first time in 2 months after being sick.
I’m not necessarily someone who practices daily gratitude (which I’ve heard is a thing) but despite the chaos it’s good to find a few reasons to be cheerful x
