#bts from #geniusmlkx did you know MLK jr got stabbed at a book signing in New York? I learned about it working on this production. Growing up in Atlanta, we learned a lot about Dr. King, so was surprised to have missed this jarring moment of his life. I can’t remember the name of the costumer here applying blood to the shirt and plant on knife we placed on Kelvin who handled it very well
#oilpainting Days before the end we celebrated a brief loss of power with Savage pizza, survived the fire @southriverartstudios and will be on display at @friday_the_gallery this weekend along with other surviving works from many of our community members. I’m out of town, but please come out and support our community
Here are some surviving works from my studio that will be available this weekend @southriverartstudios market day fundraiser. The smaller ones will be part of the pin up show which benefits the general fund for our community of displaced artists and the larger ones will be sold for me as my own personal go fund me to help me find a new space and keep making more silly paintings
@southriverartstudios clean up. I think this one is going to be ok despite hanging on the other side of the wall from the inferno in Ryan’s shop. Very glad to be able to recover it
