@olearywalker Hurtle - Pinot Noir & Chardonnay Sparkling Adelaide Hills This wine was named after Nick Walker’s grandfather, Hurtle Walker, who was a renowned sparkling winemaker in South Australia, with the tradition continuing through his son Norm and now Nick. A very beautiful & elegant sparkling that would be fantastic as an aperitivo and alongside a fresh seafood platter! Tasting Notes: Aroma Expressive and fragrant, showing lifted notes of white flowers, zesty lemon sorbet, gentle toasty nuances, and a soft suggestion of strawberries with cream. Palate Bright citrus flavours and delicate floral tones lead the way. The texture is smooth with a light creaminess, unfolding into hints of honeyed pastry and a dry finish. Delicious!! @olearywalker 2025 Watervale Riesling from the Clare Valley is hands down one of my absolute favourite Rieslings and it never disappoints. This one is bursting with intense lemon and lime, with that beautiful crisp finish that just makes you want another glass. It’s fresh, vibrant and exactly what you want for a Friday arvo wine. We enjoyed this one in the sunshine with a platter and great friends, and it was the perfect match. It would also pair so well with any seafood, think fresh prawns or grilled fish. Such a standout Riesling and always one we’ll keep coming back to. Our tasting and cheese plates are available daily until 14 January, paired beautifully with our current releases while the kitchen takes a short summer break.
