Announcement:
Until further notice or until I'm healed up enough to drag the full rig out, I'll be performing sets "unplugged"...or with just the old arch top and low watt Fender tube amp. Revisiting the old material, playing goofy songs about eating garbage, pill popping neighbors, shovels/brooms, and huffing gas... Y'know, the classics.
Thanks for understanding, well see ya soon.
"crate" digging.
I've found a bunch of killer cassettes to sample, mangle, and turn into wild shit for the couple of ongoing projects over the last few months.
What's some of the weirder shit you've found in thrift stores!
Sick ass lineup in Milwaukee coming up soon!
Don't miss it!

I put this record out just under two years ago on June 14th, 2024. It cemented a sea change in the project as I delved deeper into electronic elements and industrial vibes that had inspired, enthralled, and captivated me for years. Dabbling in that world on previous recordings scratched that itch, and it's always been a part of who I am as a songwriter, but I hadn't fully taken that turn until "Brighter As It Falls" started.
I'm pretty fucking proud of the courage I had to do it, but I had and continue to have some amazing people on my team and in my corner that really encouraged me to follow that path.
You guys are fucking rad, keep it going.

80's RadioShack house-brand, "Realistic" Electronic Reverb.
An interesting machine for sure. It doesn't really function so well as a reverb, more of a bucket-brigade delay, but even at that it doesn't excel. Where it does seem to shine is when the mic input is slammed and begins to distort in an odd, fuzzy, gnarly fashion. Sounds grainy and just kind of gross in all the best ways. I've tracked a bit of guitar and synth on this thing since finding it in a thrift store for a few bucks a couple days ago.
Odd that the limitations and unintended functions of things could bring about and inspire new sounds and ideas.
I'm happy to have this as a studio tool. It'll be fun to see what it does with some drum machines I've got kicking around.
@mke_ultra absolutely ripped.
@deaddeadswans@whiskeyofthedamned and @locallegendsska all killed it, so swing them all a well earned follow, find their Bandcamp pages, and spend all of your rent money on their records and merch.
Your landlord will understand, and if not, you can live with me.

Pretty damn killer start!
Thanks to @theportofkenosha Yates Kids and Cheap Sleaze for ripping shit with me!
See y'all down the road!
Last night was Incredible.
Thank you all for showing up in support of our Papa Vomit, enough was raised to get him through and that's absolutely incredible.

I've had this Tascam Porta 2 since I was a kid.
It's finding its place in some new sounds I'm working on, and it's certainly a damn vibe, I can say that much.
Anyone else digging out old tools and making new stuff with them?
