Twelve years of @oldstanleysbar ! I am so stoked to be showing up with Soup Bae food to celebrate and even more excited we’re having tacos! I remember this place being built out for a long time and hoping it was going to be a bar 🙈 and my wish came true. I lived on Greene Ave at the time and it was such a game changer when Stanley’s opened their doors.
We will have the juiciest smoky and flavorful shredded beef slow cooked for hours in bone broth til it’s falling apart. I use onions sautéed in ghee with aromatics and chipotle peps to get it going and build the flavor from there. I will also have juicy jackfruit tacos for my veggie vegan babies with similar tasting notes and some lovely veg substitutes - a lot of people prefer the jackfruit!
