His Majesty King Charles III Something very special in the shop! We had the pleasure of framing this very important certificate for Kington Walks. They recieved The King's Award for Voluntary Service in recognition for "Inspiring all through walking, protection footpath and improving health and wellbeing." What a lovely evening at The Rodd for the Private Viewing of their Spring Exhibitions: Tending to Nowhere from the Copy Collective and Another Step Towards Troy with new works from Daniel MacCarthy. A privy viewing... It is always nice to be invited to a private viewing of local artwork. This visit was a little different as I was invited, with the artist and curator/gallery owner, to view the work in situ at the customer's beautiful home. @oldshopframing were commissioned to frame this special piece by combining the three individual digital prints into a multi-window mount, then, framed with a simple, yet stylish, deep oak flat-faced moulding. The deliberate use of natural materials was important to pick up on the 'These Rooted Bodies' exhibition theme, which explored various encounters with England's oak trees. A little lesson in colour... It was fun to work with Edward on this eclectic series of prints and samples using his fabulous plant-based paints.
