This one hit me pretty hard. We got into some delinquent shenanigans since Jr High (there wasn't middle school during the Reagan years). Stealing punk rock vinyls from each other in the hood was common but we didn't care. Get this- one of our bros swiped Kirk's records only to trade em back to him for a complete skate deck a couple weeks later!👀 Wild in the streets was the anthem and nothing further from the truth.
Homie would always say "Roy ya know I shred you on guitar right?" I let him enjoy his 2 seconds of glory since I respected my boy as we shared a whiskey 'n ginger.
Skillz had the skills musically and for shredding surf (did I mention he was a baller on the courts too?🏀). This soul is already missed but I know he'll be there when we pay tribute and rip our sets! This one's for you SKILLROCK luv ya homie‼️🔥🔥🔥🍻🎸🎸💔🏄♂️🌊🔱🔱
