Last year has been one of the most stressful but also the most productive years of my life.
-The band had nonstop music videos, content shoots, and shows across the country.
-I launched content retainer packages to help bands and businesses elevate their online presence.
-I put all my belongings in storage and lived out of a suitcase for three months whilst I shot my first international jobs;

STUDIO RESIDENCY // 01: mavzy grx
First up from the residency day. Mavzy’s music is taking off, and he wanted to make sure he had assets to match the quality of the direction he’s going.
We chilled for the hour and talked shop about the EDM scene and his transition from DJing into producing. I don’t get to do 1-on-1 shoots as often as I’d like, it’s a breath of fresh air where you get to connect with people and hear their real story.

Had a quick lil review with @trentless from @endlessstoryco . It’s so much harder to edit a testimonial when it’s talking about you vs about a client.

Might need to turn your brightness up for this one, we get a lil spooky.
A fair few lessons learnt on this and its super ambitious shot list. My flight got delayed (by 8 hours) so instead of getting there early and being ready to go by 5PM my plane landed, over an hour away from the venue at 6PM.
When the venue says “you can go as late/early as you want”, they don’t mean it (they were still incredibly cool though) I’m also pretty sure it was haunted
But in the end I think we made something pretty sick, with so many sick shots.

6 hours. 15 creatives and a band.
We were IN IT at the Workshop this weekend, going from the visualisation of an idea in a Treatment to surviving the hustle of a real life shoot to putting it all together and getting that “I made this” feeling at the end.
We went through things like:
Building a Treatment that shows you the direction of a video
Why a Call Sheet saves you from awkward “I didn’t knows”
Figuring out how to solve problems whilst on set.
And the Post-Production workflow to ensure a more efficient and more creative edit.
The more bands that are killing it, the more our music scene thrives.
