Plastic wrap and ziplocks are confessedly things I use often in the kitchen. Like all of us doing the best I can with what i have. Just put a plate over the bowl when you char peppers, no plastic necessary.
Shaker lemon birthday pie. First found this recipe in an old joy of cooking volume about 20 years ago. Made it with silver limes from the backyard (which I thought were lemons at the time) it was not good š. Highly suggest using Meyer lemons for this, itās better, I promise. And bake in a glass pie plate so you can see that the bottom crust is cooked through and golden brown. This took almost triple the suggested time.
