When you’ve been immersed in techno for more than three decades, as OBSERVE has, the memories begin to blur into one long, beautiful continuum. But every so often, a single night rises above the rest, a night that sears itself into your core memory bank. This past weekend was one of those rare and sacred moments.
There were so many layers interwoven into the evening: nostalgia for the path that brought us here, a sense of futuristic optimism for what’s still ahead, and a profound moment of collective honor for an icon of our community, someone whose influence has shaped this genre on a global scale.
To all the friends, family, dancers, artists, music lovers, production crews, designers, sound engineers, lighting specialists, there will never be the perfect combination of words to express the depth of our gratitude.
