Whether you are visiting us at the shop or seeing us at one of our many community events, you may notice one of these QR codes displayed near our windows, counters, or service areas. These QR codes connect individuals to resources, support systems, and organizations dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence safely find help and guidance.
The Domestic Violence Railroad works to help connect survivors with volunteers and resources across the United States, helping individuals work toward safety, stability, and freedom from abusive situations. Sometimes the hardest part is simply knowing where to start or where to turn.
This partnership is deeply important to us. Since originally opening about 3½ years ago, our team has personally intervened in two separate domestic violence situations involving customers and was able to help those individuals get resources and assistance. Those moments reminded us that you never truly know what someone may be facing behind closed doors, and that even small acts of support and compassion can matter greatly.
We understand that a sticker or QR code alone cannot solve something this serious, but if even one person is able to find help, resources, safety, or hope because they saw it while grabbing a drink from us, then it is absolutely worth it.
As a small locally owned business, we believe community is about more than just serving drinks. It is about showing up for people when we can, creating safe spaces, and using our platform to support causes that matter.
Nobody should ever have to go through domestic violence alone. ❤️
