One of my biggest fears is having a child...
Watch to find out why.
And then tell me - what’s your biggest fear? If you were to tell a story about it, what would it be?
Drop it in the comments.
I dropped the pen on The Bride Price last night. This one took me out of my comfort zone.
I’ve heard people say that they have more respect for writers who write humour because quite frankly, it takes more to build a joke than to kill everyone’s favourite character.
I’m not sure I expressed this to Kosi @big_man_chopper but I asked myself several times if I can actually write comedy. And I’m happy I took the challenge.
I’m looking forward to the rehearsals which will start soon. In the coming weeks, we’ll announce where and when the play will be staged. Stay tuned!❤️
New week, new me… quite literally 😉
I batch created last week so this week I’m trying something different.
I’m reading The Artist’s Way right now and one of the tools Julia Cameron vouches for is morning pages - three pages of writing every single morning without stopping.
It’s supposed to unblock you, clear the noise, help you access your most honest creative voice.
I’m applying the same principle to my content this week. Every morning before work, I’ll be filming whatever is on my mind as a writer building her career.
I’m excited for what this version of consistency looks like.
Postcards from a fun weekend ✨
On the 8th slide is a video of me “touching” the chess board for the first time in say, 8 years.
I picked up chess in secondary school and represented my house during inter house sports. However, I came third because I lost on time. 8th slide is still me taking my time to think about a single move 😅.
On the 6th slide is Ben Okri’s The Famished Road, the book I took along to the Silent Book Club.
On the 7th slide are the books I took along from the Silent Book Club 🤭
This is the first of different shows I’ve scripted. I’m so excited that it’s finally out @centuryconvos . Crazy that I only learnt about show scripting in January 2025 at the EXTAM Storytelling Workshop by @tigerfirerose and one year later, I’ve come this far.
