UPDATE: Due to a small fire and extensive smoke damage at the Okanagan Science Centre early Friday morning, we will be closed through the long weekend. We are incredibly thankful to the Vernon Fire Department for their quick response and support. We will provide an update on Monday, May 18.

Open to teachers, students, and the public, this FREE event runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm! *Public guests are highly encouraged to visit between 1:00-4:00pm for the best experience!
May 22nd - BLOOMIN' BINGO - Proudly sponsored by Okanagan Restoration Services, this special event is bursting with floral excitement, giving guests the chance to win incredible plant prizes like massive monsteras, hanging baskets, and tropical plants generously provided by Nicholas Alexander and The Flower Spot.

We have teamed up with Awaken and the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada for a deep dive into space exploration and the recent Artemis Program.
Join us on Thursday, May 7th at 12:30-1:30pm at the Okanagan Science Centre to hear all about the Artemis Program from Colleen O'Hare. We are going to zoom out (way out!) and start connecting the dots between science, exploration, technology, and our future as a species.
Topics and Questions will include:
Why are we going back to the Moon and what did we learn?
What were the big moments? What science is driving it all?
What are we still trying to figure out? What surprised scientists the most so far?
What risks are we willing to take to push exploration forward?
What does success actually look like this time around?
