There was a time I thought going to five countries in one year was a lot. This year I went to 20 countries, 3 states, and hit my 100th country and somehow that wasn’t even the biggest win. This year reminded me that magic exists, but more importantly, it drilled in the simplest, hardest truth…you are going to fucking die, so why not make the middle really fucking good. I outdid myself not anyone else. I chose time, health, a quiet mind, slow mornings, travel, and a house full of love. I learned to be real instead of perfect. I paid attention to actions over words, protected my energy, said no without guilt, accepted people exactly as they are, and trusted that some disconnections are blessings. I stopped chasing big things and started valuing the little ones long walks, ENOUGH sleep, good food, focused attention, gratitude, and presence because someday we run out of somedays. This year became a love letter to my inner child…fall in love with your life, stay curious, believe in yourself first, execute instead of just dreaming, and say yes to life. If you didn’t make your dreams come true yet and you’re reading this stop making excuses and just fucking do it. Nothing will be the same in a year, and that’s the point. To a new chapter may it be the best one written yet.

On the first day of 7th grade, 22 years ago I met my soulmate. Can you believe it Ani? We’ve journeyed through life together for over 2 decades, and I’m so grateful for all we’ve shared. The older I get the more I appreciate that it’s okay to live a life others don’t understand and you’ve always understood me like no one else can. Though we’re so different, in the ways that matter most we’re the same. We’ve faced so many challenges thinking we were losing, only to discover we’d won in unexpected ways. We’ve embraced life’s beauty, lived with purpose, and never settled for “just ok.” We’ve taken risks for the chance at something amazing, and now we’re living meaningful, adventurous lives. The most important lesson we’ve learned is to never let the world make us cruel. We’ve grown by creating our own paths and embracing life on our terms. I’m so proud of us for that.
