The history of Sage for Ojai Wild goes back to 2015 when we planted our first seeds in Ojai, we did so on soil that holds more than 10,000 years of recorded history — a historically registered landmark that predates the Chumash and served as a milling site for the Ojai Valley’s original inhabitants, the Oak Grove Indians. This was a place of daily preparation and transformation long before it became our farmland.
Each bar is made with hand-harvested, distilled white sage and marshmallow root grown on our Ojai CA farmland. Sage has long been used to clear and purify; here, it works both aromatically and topically to refresh the skin and reset the senses. Marshmallow root softens and replenishes with its natural mucilage, while clary sage flower dust gently buffs away dullness. Our first Eau de Parfum. It opens with the refreshing herbal clarity of our sacred farm-grown white sage, lifted by a fleeting brightness of lemongrass—moving like light across open land. It settles into jasmine, softening the edges, before deepening into resinous myrrh, frankincense, and sandalwood.

Our first harvest of the year—our most fragrant, freshly opened roses—arrives at its fullest expression: vital, luminous, and alive with everything these flowers have gathered from the land. This is the moment we distill.
Our first rose distillation of the season has begun, moving directly from our field, straight into our Rose Total Spectrum facial misting spray. It is not stored or separated—it is captured and carried through in real time, preserving the integrity of this majestic flower in its most complete form.
Within this living water are billions—if not trillions—of bioactive volatile compounds, held in their natural balance. These molecules carry the skin-supportive benefits rose has been revered for: calming inflammation, softening and refining the skin’s surface, and supporting overall tone and clarity. Rich in constituents like geraniol and citronellol, the distillate offers gentle antimicrobial activity while helping to defend against environmental stress. Its natural plant waters deliver hydration at a cellular level, supporting the skin’s moisture barrier and maintaining a healthy pH.
But what makes a distinctive distillate is not only its chemistry—it is its coherence. The compounds are not isolated or reconstructed; they exist together as they do in nature, allowing the skin to recognize and respond to them more intuitively.
