Working on SINNERS was a grueling, cultural, unpredictable, fruitful (and sometimes nocturnal) experience. Working in Louisiana’s summertime, we received no shortage of suntans, lightning delays, or bug bites, but the fabric of our cast and crew became all the closer because of it.
One thing that Mr. Delroy made sure to impress upon me every day I saw him was that the most important element of anything is how you finish, never how you start.
The beautiful connections I made and the impact of witnessing such detailed artistry up close while working on this set will hold a resounding permanence in my film career. I can only hope for more of the same in my future.
On what other production will you find the crew doing the bus stop to Frankie Beverly and Maze’s “Before I Let You Go” in the middle of the set? I’ll wait.
See SINNERS in theaters now 🫶🏾
on my fest behavior 😇⚜️
FQF is always a gooodt ole time. This was my 3rd year stage managing and I couldn’t be more proud. I even had some time to run around and enjoy it with friends.
Since 2017, I’ve worked for FQFI as an intern, production assistant, and now I have my own stage to run. Thank God for growth and elevation 🥹 I love being a production girlie working for festivals, events, films, tv shows, photoshoots, and many more.
Until next year 🤞🏾

Thank you to each and every one of you that wished me a happy birthday and celebrated with me, you’re truly appreciated! The love has been bountiful, colorful, and warm.
Truth be told, I’ve been so busy with work lately that I haven’t had time to truly reflect on what this new age means to and for me. However, one thing I can say for certain is that I feel the most ME at my essence and in my core than I have ever felt. It’s an intangible certitude that I’d always heard is usually associated with stepping into the thirties but I’m finally experiencing it for myself and I’ve got to say that I’m damn glad I made it to this point. Thanking God for continued blessings and more that are sure to come 🥰

Meet "Petite Sweet" Chair Chanté Ward, born and raised in New Orleans, a part of the assistant directors department in the film industry and co-owner of @goherward consulting.
For her, art means that there is no ceiling and no cap to your expression of who you are and what you feel - whether it be paintings or drawings or sculptures or even words! We are all different people and we should convey ourselves as such. Whatever you feel...that's art.
In regards to how she wants to leave a legacy: "I would like to encourage people and serve as a reminder that it's okay to not know. It's okay to not have the next step or the next answer readily available to you."
June 24th needs to be circled on your calendar!
It's the inaugural year for "Petite Sweet: A Ball for All". Expect music, dancing, experiential art, libations, bites and a few surprises.
