From the first edition in 2023 to π˜”π˜’π˜³π˜¬π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 π˜”π˜’π˜΅π˜΅π˜¦π˜³π˜΄?: π˜”π˜’π˜³π˜¬π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 π˜—π˜Άπ˜―π˜¨π˜¨π˜°π˜, Shi’ai has supported us across both. When we first started the project, we wanted to do more than just encourage volunteerism. We hoped to build a community of people coming together around a shared purpose. Shi’ai recognised this from the beginning. Thank you, Shi’ai, for believing in the work β€” and in what it can become.

As we stepped into a second iteration, three times the scale of the first, we knew growth had to be grounded in the right partnerships. House of Partners Asia (HOPA) understood this instinctively. As a multi-family office and active investors, they recognise that meaningful work is built with trusted partners who believe in the vision. With their support, we have been able to bring π˜”π˜’π˜³π˜¬π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 π˜”π˜’π˜΅π˜΅π˜¦π˜³π˜΄?: π˜”π˜’π˜³π˜¬π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 π˜—π˜Άπ˜―π˜¨π˜¨π˜°π˜ to life with greater ambition and impact. Thank you, HOPA.

Since 2009, Deutsche Bank has been part of our journey. They believed not just in what we do, but in the role art can play in shaping communities. That belief continues in the work today β€” through π˜”π˜’π˜³π˜¬π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 π˜”π˜’π˜΅π˜΅π˜¦π˜³π˜΄?: π˜”π˜’π˜³π˜¬π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 π˜—π˜Άπ˜―π˜¨π˜¨π˜°π˜, inviting more people to engage with their communities through art. We’re deeply grateful to have Deutsche Bank accompany us over the years. Thank you for being part of our story β€” past and present.

Behind every independent, artist-led project is a quiet, ongoing labour β€” time, care, and people holding it together. Blossom Hope Fund didn’t just support the outcome. They recognised what it takes to sustain it. Their generosity goes beyond giving. It is rooted in compassion, in care for communities, and in valuing the people behind the work. Thank you, Blossom Hope Fund for believing in us and what we hoped to do. It gave us the assurance to bring π˜”π˜’π˜³π˜¬π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 π˜”π˜’π˜΅π˜΅π˜¦π˜³π˜΄?: π˜”π˜’π˜³π˜¬π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 π˜—π˜Άπ˜―π˜¨π˜¨π˜°π˜ to life, and to invite more people to engage with their community πŸ’–

When we were planning HAN@Punggol Open House, we knew we wanted to create a space where the community could take their time to experience our installations. And what better way to do so than with the simple comfort of beanbags? Doob Bean Bags, however, did more than just provide comfort. They invited conversation and connection, bringing families, friends, and neighbours together. The beanbags were always filled with people laughing, sharing stories, and simply enjoying each other’s company. In a world where we often pass through spaces without much thought, these beanbags reminded us to slow down, pause, and appreciate the people and places around us β€” something that we champion greatly at OH!. Thank you, @doobbeanbags , for the generous sponsorship that helped us transform the Plaza into a space where people could connect. Your warm touch of comfort truly brought it to life πŸ’–β˜€

At the heart of Punggol sits Waterway Point. More than just a mall, it is an anchor for the community. In 2025, Frasers Property and Waterway Point warmly opened their doors to us for Colours on Shore during the launch of the Heritage Activation Node at Punggol (HAN@Punggol ). This year, they graciously welcomed us back once again, making our festival, HAN@Punggol Open House, possible. Together, we transformed spaces into places where neighbours, families, and friends could come together not only to share stories and rediscover Punggol’s heritage, but to also take meaningful action for the social good of their neighbourhood. Because like us, Frasers believes that everyday spaces can play an active role in nurturing a community where residents feel connected and empowered to shape the place they call home. Thank you, Frasers Property, for standing alongside us. We couldn’t imagine a more fitting place to celebrate Punggol’s people and stories than @waterway_point itself 🩡🌟

For Esther Siah, Punggol isn't just the town she lived inβ€”it's where her family's story began. Growing up on one of Punggol's last pig farms at Cheng Lim Farmway, her childhood memories became the heart of her collaboration with Heritage Activation Node at Punggol (HAN@Punggol ). Through the HAN@Punggol ’s Call for Collaboration, she found a way to honour them, turning her paper quilling art into intimate miniature time capsules that tell stories about the side of Punggol many never knew existed. HAN@Punggol ’s Call for Collaboration is open till 30 June 2026. Find out how you can collaborate with HAN@Punggol at go.gov.sg/han-cfc --- HAN@Punggol is presented by OH! Open House (@ohopenhouse ) and supported by the National Heritage Board, as part of Heritage Activation Nodes. #HeritageActivationNodes #HANPunggol

Marking Matters?: Marking Punggol is moving from Waterway Point to Punggol Library! If you didn’t catch it during HAN@Punggol Open House, you can now visit it on Level 3 of the library until the end of the year ⭐️ - Marking Matters?: Marking Punggol is an art and community project by renowned Thai artist Mit Jai Inn. Here, artworks become a way to inspire everyday people to make positive change in the world around them. Mit has created 99 artworks in his iconic colourways. To bring them home, 99 participants have each pledged 80–100 hours of their time to volunteering and caring for the Punggol community. From helping out at a family service center and resident network, to donating blood and championing accessibility, these participants collectively uplift the Punggol neighbourhood with 10,000 community hours. Learn more about the project here: markingpunggol.org - Marking Punggol Donors: Blossom Hope Fund, Deutsche Bank, House of Partners Asia, Liang Shi’ai Venue Partner: Waterway Point @fraserspropertysingapore @waterway_point

β€œI collect art for its artists and stories.” β€” π˜•π˜ͺ𝘀𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘒𝘴 Last Saturday, 28 March, we resumed 𝘏𝘰𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘀𝘡𝘰𝘳𝘴 with Nicholas, whose home has become a living archive of artworks and artists. In his 10 years of collecting, Nicholas has carefully built a vast collection. Yet, what struck us most was how deeply familiar he is not just with the story of each work, but with the artists behind them as well. As he spoke about their practices, processes, and intentions with genuine fondness, it was clear he admires the artists as much as the works themselves. Nicholas’s collection also reflects his strong commitment to supporting emerging local artists. He has acquired works by graduating students and young artists, not only out of appreciation for their creativity, but also because he understands how meaningful such support can be for artists navigating the early stages of their practice. We couldn’t have thought of a better person to host our first 𝘏𝘰𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘀𝘡𝘰𝘳𝘴 of the year. More than just viewing art, this 𝘍𝘳π˜ͺ𝘦𝘯π˜₯𝘴 𝘰𝘧 π˜–π˜! exclusive programme invites direct, intimate encounters between artists, collectors, patrons, volunteers, audiences, and the art itself. Thank you, Nicholas, for sharing the love and care behind the works in your home. In times where collections often focus solely on the artworks, you remind us that art is as much about the people and the stories they carry β€” a belief that resonates deeply with us at OH!. Punggol holds more stories than you’d expect. From pig farms to coastlines, residents are keeping those memories alive β€” through art, walks, and miniature dioramas tucked inside mailboxes. πŸ“¬ #Punggol #SingaporeHeritage #encountersg #hanpunggol #singapore
