I am putting together another Lith print workshop to close out the year! I know a few didn't get to make it last time so hopefully we can work this out. In addition to making some cool ass art you can help this girlie survive her break between semesters!
What is Lith?
Lith is a alternative photographic process related to tradition black and white silver gelatin printing in the darkroom.
It utilizes a special two part developer that can be combined with various papers to produce a range of effects from subtle color and tonal shifts to enhanced contrast and textural elements.
About the workshop: Students will learn how to process works and produce a print from an image of their own. The chemicals and paper will be provided. Class will be held at the New Orleans Community Printshop.
It is strongly recommended that students have the most basic understanding of darkroom printing. ie: what an enlarger is, what a negative is and how the image gets on paper.
Further details:
Class size is limited to 4-5 students.
$50 deposit + $75 for the course.
The workshop may run upwards of 4+ hours.
