Worked alongside so many talented cast and crew on this one and was astounded by their grace while defying much odds and logic (as is making indie film) Thankful for all the new friends and collaborators I met who I now get to cherish and to the old bonds that grew stronger.

Farther Along premiered at the incredible @danceswithfilms to a sold out theatre and people standing to see our work. I can’t begin to tell you how much this means to me.
I don’t talk too much about my decision to switch to a focus on scripted film and television after having my second son because it still sort of scares me that I did that at 37 years old.
I am really proud that just a couple years later I co-directed, for the first time, a narrative pilot with people who I think of more as family now than colleagues. A show I hope to share with the world one day that I am so proud to have storywrote and produced as well.
@blairpeyton thank you for trusting me with your baby which become our baby. I am so impressed with you every second of every day! @grrremily thanks for saying yes when I asked you to direct this together, I am in awe of your talent.
@miarosekavensky I can’t wait to keep making work with you, Violet. You’re a star!

Farther Along is a proof of concept for a half hour LGBTQ+ comedy series about a devil may care pastor (Succession’s Peter Friedman) and his tightly wound gay son (Two Dimes’ @blairpeyton ) navigating life after loss. The short also stars @clarajwong (Billions), @natoniamonet (The Other Two), and @miarosekavensky (Meet Cute in Manhattan).
