From smoky, dancefloor-ready rhythms to more abstract dubwise textures, the compilation balances immersive atmosphere with relentless drive. Gockel opens with the forceful rhythms of ‘Enduring Rush’ while Plug Trax’s ‘Distant Place’ swirls with suspensory synths and underlapping drum funk. 10.000 BC brings extra drive and texture to ‘Fokus’, which loops tightly and keeps you on your toes then Ecilo hits hard in the low end but brings wispy lightness with deft melodic motifs. There’s a grit and grind to the opener, ‘Analog State Of Mind’ that’s offset with some twinkling keys. ‘Voices From The Past’ is a textural mirage with otherworldly celestial charm, and ‘Different Paths’ is more stripped back and focused on a steely tech rhythm. Last of all is ‘Antwerp’, a darker sound with a slower, heavier rhythm and mournful, pixelated leads full of lament. Ukrainian producer Lisovskyi lands on Fib Records with four glitch-drenched, pressure-cracked tools that live somewhere between malfunction and intent. ‘Unstable Session’ leads with flickering FX and drum programming that stutters, resets and fights the grid-like broken IDM with a dancefloor memory. ‘It Takes Two I’ sharpens the chaos: asymmetrical kicks spar with splintered vocal slices in a tense and rubbery bounce. On the flip, ‘Pirated Thoughts’ simmers with looping static and restless bass, haunted by bursts of hiss and alert sounds. It’s like a late-night system audit turned rave sketch. Closer ‘Lypa Drips’ is the darkest: insectoid bleeps, sub-pressure and oily low-end drag that’s fully submerged in glitch. Nothing lands where it should and that’s the point here.
