The @streetfoodcircusuk Forest Feastival really did the business🌲🌲
2026 is shaping up to be the summer of local Welsh food festivals - popping up all over the shop from Bute Park to Barry Beach - and honestly, we are in for one hell of a tasty bloody Welsh summer.
Now, if you’re anything like me, food festivals can be overwhelming. Too many tasty options, not enough stomach space, and the impossible task of deciding which vendor deserves the prime real estate in your belly first. So after much serious research, here are my top favourites from this year’s Forest Feastival 👆🏻
If you see any of these tasty boys out and about this summer, give them your time, your support, and probably all your money. Absolutely worth it every single time. ✨
No. It really is that big 🍕
Cardiff’s finally getting some sun, and I want to see more big fat pizzas hitting my table, paired with a gorgeous cold IPA. At this point, I’ll even forgive the plastic cups.
📍 @toms.pizzas - tucked down Kings Road Yard next to Pipes.
Open:
Thurs & Fri evenings
Sat all day
Sun 12–5
And that garlic mayo? 🧄 Genuinely one of the best these lips have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Slow mornings start here. @sway.cdf is bringing a more intentional way to drink coffee to Kings Road.
Canton or Pontcanna… I’ll let you decide.
Either way, Sway is worth the stop.
Look who’s all grown up 🎈
@hardlinescoffee just hit the big 10, and Cardiff showed up properly to celebrate
Top-tier burritos coming out of the kitchen and cold beers from an unreal collab with @beerriffbrewing 🍺
Here’s to the next 10 years, gang - we’ll be there every step of the way ❤️
Bank holidays = a perfect excuse to ditch the marigolds and let someone else do the cooking.
Our latest visit to @tigeryardcardiff delivered exactly that. It’s nothing new to the city, but somehow the lineup just keeps levelling up.
Authentic Indonesian beef rendang… in the Bay? Honestly, what a time to be alive.
Have a scroll through their socials for current traders, and keep an eye out for the new arrivals popping up over the year - I’m hearing rumours of a spice bag 👀 🍟
Six Chairs Six: Vol. 4 🌸🌼🌷🌻
Spring Garden
Do I really have a lemon personality? 🍋
I might need to dispute that…
Spring has officially sprung, and this dinner was a love letter to all the vibrant veggies in my life - both on the plate and at the table 🥕
Diolch to @ogofcardiff for the ketchup inspiration, and @nonna.assunta.liqueurs for welcoming the season in with the most gorgeous limoncello 🍋
Hello spring… aren’t you lovely 🌷
So that is what a sunny weekend feels like. Noted.🌞
I must say, that weekend really did turn that seasonal frown upside down.
Cardiff, it turns out, is a cracking place when the sun shows up. Parks, mountains, sea, pubs… a surprisingly well-rounded itinerary, all in the noble pursuit of getting our arms out for 48 hours.
Reasons I love @donalds.uk - and why I’m proud to see the pie empire growing
Em-PIE-r, if you will 🥧 💁🏻♀️
A true passion project at its finest. Not just another spot in the city, but a place built on love, creativity, nostalgia…and bloody good fillings.
Kiwi-inspired pies, packed to the crust with Welsh pride 🏴
Cracking coffee too!! ☕️
Easter bank holiday weekend ✨ and once again, my greatest and most consistently applied life skill is remembering to book annual leave either side of it.
@thelansdownecardiff does a cracking scotch egg, pass it on.
I like pubs and I like pubs with good beer snacks. This scotch egg, I am already waiting to reorder and devour.
