This has been an extremely hard year. For me. For everyone. We have all struggled in innumerable ways, some of which were horrifyingly personal and some of which were horrifyingly universal, but the struggle has nevertheless been shared by us all. On top of that, the history and community of this experience extends far beyond this year, or the year before that, or the year before that, and so on, ad infinitum.
I had an abortion in my
20s. It saved my life. I had an IUD insertion shortly after. It saved my life. I went through a divorce in my 30s. It saved my life.
Women’s rights are human rights. And human rights save lives. If you wanna fight me on that, then bring it on. Let’s fight.
