Three years ago, this was us.
Thom and I cooking up batches at the Triwood community kitchen. A couple of pals with big dreams and no clue what was coming next.
We didn’t have fancy equipment, a warehouse, or even a plan that made sense on paper. What we did have was an obsession with making ghee the right way, a borrowed kitchen, and the kind of stubbornness you only get when you know you’re onto something.
I still remember the smell of those first batches filling the whole building. We’d stay late, jar after jar, hoping that maybe—just maybe—someone out there would believe in this as much as we did.
Looking back now, it’s wild to think about how far we’ve come from that tiny room in Triwood to shelves across the country… and now, to Costco. If you told me back then this little side hustle would become my life’s work, I probably would’ve laughed.
But here we are.
Butter turned into ghee.
Ghee turned into a brand.
A brand turned into a community.
And through it all—it’s still Thom and I, chasing the same dream we started with in that little Calgary kitchen.
