I gave this pep talk to a job seeker earlier today, and she told me it changed her whole perspective on job hunting, so maybe it will help you too. When you’re in the midst of job hunting and you’re not getting asked to interview, you’re not getting the offer, heck you’re not hearing anything….it can get really defeating, really fast. It’s almost impossible not to take that personally. And that usually makes you question your worth. “Am I really not hirable?” “Am I even on the right path?” “Will I ever get a job offer?” “Am I not worthy of success?” You ARE hirable! You ARE on the right path! You WILL get a job offer! You ARE worthy of success! We always hear jokes about “there’s your plan, and then there’s God’s plan”, and that’s exactly what this is. You have to TRUST in the process of where you’re meant to be, the career you’re meant to have, and who you’re meant to serve alongside. If you submit your resume and you don’t hear back, that wasn’t the role for you. You dodged a bullet. If you make it to the interview round, and get a “we went a different direction” email, that’s ok. That’s not where you were meant to be. You don’t just want a job. You want the RIGHT job. And finding the right job, the right company, the right team, the right purpose, and the version of you that is needed—that takes divine timing. I’m not looking for a job, but I still use this concept anytime we work with an employer, a job seeker, a new partnership, an event, whatever it may be. Everything works out the way it should, even when it doesn’t feel like it in the moment. Your time is coming. God knows that, I know that, and I want you to know that, too. ❤️

Motherhood isn’t the only thing they are, but it’s part of everything they do. It was a Sunday in 2023. The kind of day that started normal… until it didn’t. I truly thought I was having a heart attack at 33 years old. I thought this was it. I thought about my babies. I thought about my husband. I thought about never making it back home. Fear like that changes you. It strips everything down real fast. The pressure, the chasing, the stress, the need to prove something… none of it mattered in that moment. Listening to this video and telling the story now still gives me chills because it takes me right back there. What I know now is this: success can make you or break you if you worship it. And before it had the chance to break me, God stepped in and said, let me wake her up real quick. That moment felt terrifying then, but looking back… it was mercy. It was the wake up call I didn’t know I needed. To slow down. To realign. To remember what actually matters. To stop carrying things I was never meant to carry alone. Some moments feel like they’re taking you out, but they’re really waking you up.
